Very informative - Honestly, there was another plantation in Charleston I wanted to visit, but they were closed, so Boone Hall came in second. The ticket price was around $40 or possibly less per person, especially with discounts like AAA, senior, or military. The drive in was a bit bumpy, so drive with caution, but we were happy to find parking right away. There were enough staff and signage to guide us easily around. Upon arrival, we first entered a building that serves as an information desk, where we learned about the history of cotton and found a small souvenir shop. The staff member was kind and asked how many in our party, offering helpful suggestions on what to see and do around the plantation. One highlight was the mini play at the Gilded Hall, it was very well done. I wish we had planned to arrive earlier in the day so we could explore more, but overall, it’s a lovely spot with rich history and beautiful grounds. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Would Recommend - My husband and I loved the information given to us. We took the tour around the plantation, The Gullah history and the other was the history of ownership (not sure what that one is titled). No lines at this time of year. The weather was 65 and perfect. Everyone was friendly and helpful if need. Almost forgot we took the tour of the interior of the main house. That tour was only the first floor. Our tour guide was informative and had a great sense of humor.

Beautiful Boone Visit - Boone Plantation in Fall is as beautiful as it gets! What a wonderful day to spend with family meandering the beautiful grounds and gardens. The mansion tour is a must with lots of interesting history and great artifacts from bygone eras. The view from the mansion’s front porch of the oak lined entry drive is spectacular. Don’t miss the Gullah presentation by Frank - what a great teacher and showman. He provided much insight into the Africans who worked the rice fields of the plantation and how the Gullah culture evolved. The tractor farm tour of the Boone plantation grounds gives you a great opportunity to see how vast the property is and how it is currently being farmed and developed. Visit the cafe for a quick fresh bite. A memorable and special place. Highly recommend visiting.

Very educational - Enjoyed the plantation talks, hayride, house tour, etc. Great place. Did this visit on a sunny day. If rain in forecast, reschedule. Dirt roads as it originally was back in the day.

Family Orientated - Not for those who want intensity. This is a great haunted house for the family. It's no contact. They build good jump scares for all ages. I really enjoyed my time there.
