Excellent excursion! - We had a great time! We were all comfortable in our gear and had an amazing time in the water. We saw lots of neat sea creatures and the guides were helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend to any snorkelers visiting Ketchikan, great experience!

Don't be scared - it's not cold and it's BEAUTIFUL! - We were optimistic about this but a bit nervous about the cold temperatures. There was absolutely NOTHING to worry about! This crew knows what they're doing from start to finish. They were so incredibly helpful getting us into our super thick wetsuits and guiding us through the waters. The water was 59 degrees the day we went but we felt comfortable the whole time. The sea stars, sea cucumbers, urchins, and fish were gorgeous. There were beautiful jellyfish that we felt completely safe from because we were in such thick suits/ hoods/gloves. Just a fabulous, unique experience that I would recommend to everyone. A totally different perspective on Alaska that very few are lucky enough to see! Five stars. Highly recommended.

Lots of sea life to see! - It was a neat experience to see all the sea life. We had a whale breach and a seal pop up right next to us. The guides were awesome well worth the money.

Awesome Adventure - It was easy to find Fred and Jordan in downtown Ketchikan at the meet-up location. They loaded us in a comfy van and it was a short drive to the warehouse where we were given detailed instructions. After gearing up, we took a quick trip to the water. There was beautiful and fun marine life to see… we even got a visit from a curious seal. All in all an excellent experience!!

Favorite excursion. Small group. - This was my favorite excursion during our Princess Land/Sea Cruise. They do small groups, usually less than 12. Great guides. We saw many different colored starfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and 2 different species jellyfish. There was a pod of orca nearby that we could see from the beach.

It’s not cold ! - We had the BEST time snorkeling in Alaska! Fred and his team were so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about the sea life. Even my 16 year old, non-adventurous teen daughter had fun. She was anxious and stressed but one of the guides stayed right with her and showed her some interesting sea life. It made her experience special. I can’t recommend it enough. And it was NOT cold ! I promise! The wet suit keeps you warm. It was 51 degrees but we never felt cold. Protip: try to book at low tide.

You should snorkel in Alaska with Fred and his team!!! Core memories made! - What a unique experience! My teenagers were quite apprehensive when I told them I had booked this for us during our port stop in Ketchikan, but boy did they change their tune when we were done! They were mainly worried about being cold and it wasn't an issue at all with the wonderful wetsuits we were outfitted with. Fred and Hendo were amazing guides and made me feel so comfortable. They were super patient with me when I got a bit nervous at times and never made me feel self-conscious, just continuously encouraged me and cheered me on!

Fun Experience, But a Bit Disappointed - I went on this tour with three other people and it was overall very fun. It was very strenuous, not only because of the snorkeling, but also with getting the actual wet suit on (lol). We toured with Jordan, Kriph, and Melody. Each were each knowledgable about the plants and animals in the water and were willing to share this with us. My group and I did get the impression that some of the tour guides were not the friendliest of people and we did get some "side eye" and blunt commentary while sharing our observations in the water. I was really sad we didn't get any pictures on this tour. Our guides had shared that we were going to take a picture with the group either before/after snorkeling, but neither happened. I also was expecting (or so hoping) that the guides to be taking pictures in the water with a GoPro or some type of waterproof camera, but that also did not happen. I saw so many pictures in reviews before going on this tour that I thought this would also occur on our tour. We saw a lot of sea life - fish, sea cucumbers, urchins, starfish, crabs, and two different types of jellyfish. The tour was worth it solely because of seeing all of the wildlife. However, I would've appreciated if the guides were a bit more personal, as this was a very new and exciting experience for many of us. I would've also liked for "photo opportunities" or even candid pictures. On other tours we've taken, photos have been captured throughout the tour and people are asked to pay a price for the photos after the tour is done. I think this would make a nice addition to this tour and I believe it would generate more income, as a lot of people would pay money for these pictures.
