Fun Glacier Walk with Basha - We went on the glacier walk at Solheimajokull with Arctic Adventure, and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Basha, was excellent. She explained everything clearly, kept the group laughing and made the whole trip really fun. Would love to join them again.

Great Experience - This was a solid and worthwhile experience with a fantastic guide, Steve. The hike on Sólheimajökull was not overly strenuous but still gave a real sense of the glacier’s scale and features. Steve, our guide, was clear, funny, and kept things moving without rushing us throughout. He explained how to use the gear, kept a steady pace for the group, and taught us interesting details about the glacier’s structure and changes over time. The group was small, which helped keep things moving efficiently. If you’re interested in hiking on a glacier and seeing it up close without doing a full-on ice climb, this is a good option. Would recommend this.

Highlight of our trip - The glacier hike with Steve was the highlight of our 9-day trip in Iceland. We were lucky to have a small group so we were able to explore a large portion of the glacier. Steve made sure to take plenty of photos and provided a lot of information about the area and its history/future. Highly recommend this tour & Steve!

Fantastic Excursion on Sólheimajökull - Fantastic tour across an endangered glacier. Guide (Daniella) was humorous, patient, knowledgeable and conscientious of our safety and wellbeing. Everyone in the group felt secure and well looked after. We were given ample chances to take in the stunning views as well as lots of scientific and geological facts explaining the many features of the glacier, Sólheimajökull. Thank you Daniella and the team from Arctic Adventures.

Enjoyable glacier hike - Great views, some hiking, and a little learning all made for a good experience. It was not too strenuous, so accessible to many. Tin was our guide and we enjoyed him very much. He was helpful, kind, knowledgeable, fun, and willing to share information. He even offered ideas for places for us to visit later in our trip in Akureyri!

Awesome experience - Such a cool way to experience the glacier. The guides equip you with crampons, helmets, and harnesses (for emergencies only) and go through a lot of safety information beforehand so we felt prepared. The hike itself was fairly short with multiple stops to take photos and catch your breath as needed. Our guide Encsi shared a lot of information about the glacier and answered any questions from the group. I would recommend bringing a rain jacket, thin hat to wear under your helmet (no pompom), and gloves. Maybe a small backpack if you want to bring water or anything else. I would not have gone on the glacier without a guide since they know the safest paths, so this tour was great. Would recommend, especially since walking on this glacier may not be possible in the future when the glacier melts further.

Fun experience - Our guide was very friendly and educational. It was a pretty easy hike up and back down. Would recommend. The wind and snow that day was cold so would recommend winter clothes and a face mask.

They let us down 3 hours before!! - Very disappointed with Arctic Adventures. I booked the Glacier trek for me and my 3 children and it was one of the main things we were looking to do whilst we were in Iceland. Unfortunately they cancelled the trek 3 hours beforehand, stating "bad weather conditions" as the reason. We decided to go anyway as the weather was actually really great, and when we got there we found that every other company was running tours and one of their guides even said the weather was "perfect" (see photo), so it sounds like they just made up an excuse. We got a prompt full refund, but it definitely took the edge off our whole trip, although we absolutely loved Iceland.
