Awesome tour - Loved the excursion to Chichen Itza. Our guide Freddy and driver Efrain were great. Freddy was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our tour because of him. He had great suggestions. We wanted a short tour since we had our granddaughter and it was perfect. It was also at a perfect time where it was early with not a lot of people.

Great half-day tour from Merida to Chichen Itza - Freddie was a fantastic tour guide, telling us the history of the Mayan civilisation in a fun and interesting way. We learned a lot and enjoyed the fact that the tour focused on Chichen Itza with no other unnecessary distractions, meaning we returned to Merida by 13:00. Great for those short on time or (like us) who just wanted to visit the site and learn about the history. Highly recommended.

Give the tour guide a raise! - The guide David E. Garcia brought the whole tour to the next level. He was very informative, and funny. He provided a lot on information on mayan culture and history. Give this man a raise! The pace of the tour did not feel rushed and there is time to walk the site on your own. What I also appreciate is there no additional side quests to other tourist sites which I am not interested in, you literally go to Chichen itza and back to Merida.

Wonderful morning experience at Chichén Itza - Our guide was Freddy, who gave our group a thorough history of the Mayan culture and history. We started early in the morning to avoid all the crowds, which was great. Already in the car Freddy gave us some basic information about the mayans, which made it easier for us to remember the information and also understand why Chichén Itza is such a special place. Warmly recommend this tour. Five stars for Freddy!

worth getting up early for - Definitely worth getting up early for. We had to get up before 5am in order to be at the meeting point at 6am. Arrived just before 8am but there were already a lot of people queuing up for tickets. If you brought cash, the tour guide could get group tickets for us while we used the bathroom & bought coffee (very convenient). Tour guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour very much. When we left around 10:30am, the amount of people waiting to get in was more than double. So glad we came early to avoid the crowds. Happy experience.

Good but not great tour. - The tour was good but not great. Good - we left early at 6am to miss the crowds. Chichen itza was quietish. The cenotes and the yellow city was good. Lunch was good. A small friendly group. The guide spoke clearly in English and Spanish and was informative. Not good - although it probably said in the info we seemed to be paying a lot for entry to all the places. The tour guide slept for around 3 hours throughout the day while we travelled from place to place. A bit of snoozing is fine but it seemed excessive. He kept the change when we booked into one venue. My friend asked for hers back later in the day on principle. It was only around 28 pesos each but it didn’t seem particularly honest.
