Excellent customer service - We pre-booked both hop on hop off bus tours, the harbour tour and the Gozo trip with Eleanor at the office on the seafront in Sliema. The bus tours and harbour tour were excellent. Unfortunatelty, my wife had an acident and went into hospital and we were unable to do the Gozo trip. Iseemalta were excellent in refunding the Money for the Gozo trip. Many thanks to Ruth in customer services.

Could have been better - We've used these buses in lots of holiday destinations as they are usually a good way to see the sights & learn information. But unfortunately in Malta it wasn't the best experience. Considering Malta is a small island the bus takes a long time & there is big gaps between stops so you're on the bus for a long time! Traffic is quite bad & there's lots of building work going on around Malta at the moment so that has obviously added to traffic congestion. It's utter chaos when getting on the bus, everyone wants to be first on to get a seat so lots of pushing & shoving. There's not enough buses for the amount of people wanting to use them. Commentary was good & interesting & all drivers pleasant enough.

ISeeMalta hop on hop off bus and harbour - Day 1 T2 South - Bus was 30 minutes late, traffic played a huge part so not their fault. However, updates on arrival time could have been better.
Timings for the remainder of the day were hit and miss, sometimes left destination earlier than advertised time. Spent half an hour of the trip travelling to the new Smart City which is in fact a building site of half constructed apartments and offices. Not sure how this is a tourist attraction!
Announcements on arrival destinations were made by the driver on lower deck so those on upper deck not made aware of which stop the bus is at. Lots of confused passengers.
Day 2, at collection point, a bus arrives with T4 on front ( we are waiting for T1 north route). We nearly missed it, as the signage on front is incorrect. The lady selling the tickets stopped the bus to ask the driver to let us on. At Waterfront terminus for 10 minutes, left here late, again.
In hindsight, wish we’d got taxis to the locations we wanted to see instead of spending €100 for 2 day pass and harbour cruise.
May be good for some travellers, not for us.

Very poor customer service - Avoid ISeeMalta. The hop on hop off bus was disappointing with infrequent service and nonexistent commentary.
BEWARE of cancellations and always pay by credit card - they cancelled our boat trip (and did not inform us) and it took me over a month of repeated emails to eventually get a refund.
They also took over 4 times the payment out of my account and they still have not refunded this. I have had to get the credit card company involved to reclaim the payment. Very poor customer service.

Waste of money! - We booked four iSeeMalta bus + boat tickets expecting a convenient, informative way to explore Malta with our kids. What we got instead was one of the most frustrating travel experiences we’ve had—and an extremely expensive version of a public city bus.
The boat portion was perfectly fine. But the bus service was a complete mess. On Sunday, buses were running around 30 minutes late, with absolutely no communication—even though something was clearly disrupting traffic. With already infrequent service, this made the system totally unreliable. Traveling with young children, we couldn’t just stand around indefinitely, so we ended up paying for Bolt rides out of pocket just to salvage the day.
When buses finally did arrive, they were often overcrowded. Several times we couldn’t even board. And when we did manage to squeeze on, the only seats available had broken audio jacks—so the “guided tour” we paid for was essentially nonexistent.
This is marketed as a hop-on, hop-off sightseeing experience, but in reality it’s just an overpriced, unreliable city bus with a broken audio system.
Seatbelts didn’t work despite signage saying they must be worn—concerning when traveling with kids. We also saw what appeared to be missing safety equipment, including a missing fire extinguisher replaced by an old soda bottle filled with mystery red liquid. Add to that visible trash and food waste laying around on the bus, and the whole experience felt poorly maintained and borderline unsafe. The drivers seemed stressed and unhelpful, which only added to the chaos.
Save your money. If you actually want to get around Malta reliably—or learn anything while doing it—this is not the way to do it.

Not worth the extortionate price. - Paid for a two day hop on hop off pass, so that we could visit numerous locations at our own pace.
First morning bus was 40 minutes late. Whilst we were waiting the rep told us an extra bus was being provided, but only one showed up and was virtually full.
We were told to get on and change at Valletta.
Valletta stop was carnage. Ended up getting on another full bus with standing room only. Spent the next hour and a half standing up, all four of us, unable to see or hear anything other than the noisy bus and traffic.
Had to change our plans and only visited the Golden Beach,(which was excellent).
Return journey, despite the best efforts of the driver (who was great) didn’t go much better. Only three of us got seats, downstairs, all the way to Valletta, where we got held up in traffic and ended up walking back to our hotel in Sliema.
Cancelled the second day and am still waiting for a refund.
Don’t waste your money!

Great in every other place we’ve used them but here it was appalling. - I’ve never felt sick on a bus before, but today’s trip on the south route managed to do just that. Constant seesawing, harsh acceleration and braking. The commentary feed was also intermittent.
The trip on the north route broke down for an hour, oddly at the craft/silverware market…

Avoid - The northern hop on hop off route timetable only allows for one or two stops unless you get the first bus. Other operators timetable runs later in the afternoon.
The bus we got for the southern route was in very bad condition and only one half of the front door opened to get on. However, both sides opened when we went around corners! The centre door was tied closed with some rope. Rain ran down from upstairs along the joint between the ceiling and the walls.
The harbour cruise was cancelled due to "high winds" despite the harbour appearing quite calm.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS - We spent more time waiting for buses than seeing sights. Drivers tell you 1hr to the next bus, its rarely true, drivers dont announce stops, and sometimes dont stop at all. We waited at one stop with several others, saw the bus pass by the stop we were at, called customer service and was told the bus was late as it was broken down, when it had just passed without stopping. Our trip was such a disaster we asked for a refund, but were told everything was running to plan on the days we travelled, so no refund. I reviewed this company previously, they responded with more lies, stating that we were contacted by email and a positive conclusion reachd. ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. We contacted them offering them an opportunity to make things right and were basicaly told no, and it was implied that we were not telling the truch. We beg to differ. Contact the Malta Tourism Association if you had a similar experience.
