- Jvari Church - Our next destination, just a 15-minute drive away, is the Jvari Monastery, another UNESCO site. Dating back to the 11th century, it has been preserved in its original form. Perched atop a mountain, it offers breathtaking views of the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.
- Uplistsikhe - After an hour’s drive, we will arrive at the Uplistsikhe rock-hewn town, a UNESCO World Heritage site with origins in the 2nd millennium BC. This expansive complex features meeting halls, a theatre, wine cellars, a pharmacy, a water storage system, baths, and both pagan and Christian religious sites and churches. Visitors will explore the open area, so comfortable shoes and sunglasses are recommended. It’s an ideal spot for photography, offering stunning landscape views and a refreshing natural environment.
