Begin your day with a convenient hotel pickup in Chiang Rai. Travel to the hot spring and set off on your trek through the scenic mountains and lush bamboo forests. Discover the Lisu and Chinese villages, a tea plantation, and a beautiful waterfall along the way.
Pause to prepare lunch using bamboo and learn the art of bamboo cooking. After enjoying lunch, proceed to the waterfall for a refreshing swim. Continue your walk to the Akha and Lahu tribe village and trek through the jungle to reach the Pasoet Hot Spring.
Enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot spa pool before returning to Chiang Rai.

- Lam Nam Kok National Park - From the hot spring, embark on a trek through the mountains and bamboo forest to visit the Lisu Village (tribe), explore the Chinese Village, and a tea plantation. After lunch, continue to the waterfall for a swim, then walk to the hill tribe village (Akha and Lahu Tribe). Afterwards, continue trekking through the jungle to arrive at Pasoet Hot Spring, where you can enjoy a swim in the hot spa pool. Finally, drive back to Chiang Rai.

Trekking & cooking with bamboo experiece. - Every day is school day if you trek with theses guides.
The guides were friendly, informative & made sure we were able to take advantage of all they had to offer
The trek through the villages, meeting the inhabitants & learning about how they live/work in the mountain was memorable.
Cooking with & eating with bamboo utensils was both delicious & an experience .
We were able to taste all the fruits, veg & tea that grows in the jungle as well as take part in the preparation & cooking.
The waterfall was both beautiful & peaceful .
The hot spring at the end was wonderful, especially the foot bath for our tired feet.
A truly memorable day.

Great trek - We had a great day with Ayru. He has extremely good local knowledge which made the walk so interesting. He has good language and interpersonal skills. We learnt so much about the local people and ecology. We would thoroughly recommend this trip. The bamboo lunch was brilliant.

A glimpse into life in the hill country of Chiang Rai guided by a local expert - Our trip was led by Aryu, who grew up in the area we visited and still lives in the area. He and his family are part of the Akha community. He speaks fluent English, is very personable, and is an excellent back-woods chef. Our all-day trek through jungle, tea plantations, pineapple fields, and rubber tree groves spanned 8.7 miles with 1870 feet of elevation…so not for the unadventurous. Some of the trail was challenging due to overhanging bamboo or rough terrain, but two active 60-somethings were able to hack it fine. Highlights of the trip included spectacular viewpoints overlooking hill tribal villages, a spectacular waterfall, and the incredible meal prepared by Aryu over a campfire using bamboo cooking materials that he crafted before our eyes. Although the trek took us at times in somewhat remote areas, there were ample opportunities for bathroom breaks and purchasing of cold beverages during the trek.
This trip was clearly one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand and I can recommend it highly for those seeking to learn more about the hill tribes of Chiang Rai and having a taste for adventure.

Highly recommended - This tour has been amazing, thanks to our guide Aryu, too.
We passed the day trekking in the jungle with Aryu giving us information on the surroundings and his personal story.
We had luch in the middle of the jungle, visited tea plantation and some village.
Highly recommended.

Highly recommend R U!! - R U was the perfect tour guide! He is warm and friendly and easy to be around. I appreciate his sharing of extensive knowledge and experience in the local cultural and jungle with us throughout the entire day. R U made for a fun and memorable day. I highly recommend him and would definitely do another tour with him.

Amazing day's experience! - Aryu runs tours with only a small number of people, he is very informative about the area and easy to talk to. We had an amazing lunch in the forest, cooked in bamboo. I really enjoyed my day and recomend Aryu's tours for anyone, if I could give this 10 out of 5 I would!

The best trekking of chiang rai - The best trekking you can find in Chiang Rai, as well as being the most authentic I have ever done. Not only an amazing experience in the middle of nature, but also allows you to know the history of all the refugees who came - and arrive - in Thailand and settled in the jungle. All thanks to a great guide like RU, 10/10!
