Great Experience - Great experience, a lot to learn about the culture, Yut (our guide) was very helpful and acknowledged, very recommended.

Wonderful experience in Chiang Rai! - We had a fantastic time exploring some of what Chiang Rai has to offer, and our guide Yut is what made it so great. He and Eddie, our driver, were prompt picking us up at our hotel and even had snacks and a cooler of cold water and cooling towels in the back. During the ride, Yut regaled us with the basic history of how Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai came to be, as well as information about modern Thai history and agriculture. (Ask him about his coffee plants!) He was so knowledgeable about Thailand in general, the temples, and Buddhism. I learned a lot. He kept us ahead of the crowds at every temple (and these are major tourist spots), knew the perfect place to stop for lunch to try khao soi, and even gave us the seemingly-obvious but definitely not obvious tip to keep our shoes under the awning at temples, in case it started to rain. He was also happy to answer my 500 questions and even sent me resources for further learning when I said I wanted to learn more about Buddhism. If you just want to go to a temple, you can go to a temple. But you hire a tour guide for the experience, and our experience with Yut as our guide was top notch! And big big shout out to Eddie, who is a very safe but still very fast driver! His SUV is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We got caught in a huge storm up in the mountains but he handled it expertly. He also stopped me from face planting when I missed the runnerboard getting out.

M also helped us take LOTS of beautiful photos and gave us tips on the best spots and angles. We never felt rushed and appreciated how he adjusted the pace to suit our group. M even introduced us to delicious local food along the way and shared stories about life in northern Thailand. Great time in Chiang Rai - Just got back from an awesome trip from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. If you can request a guide, definitely ask for Yut! He's so knowledgeable and personable you won't even notice the time flying. Whether explaining the (big picture) differences in the schools of Buddhism, going into detail about the origins and design of the temples, or just chatting about Thailand's agriculture, he has a wealth of knowledge. I learned so much. Ask him about his coffee plants! Yut was always checking in with us to make sure we were comfortable and he kept us ahead of the crowds at every stop. Plus he takes GREAT photos! He knew the perfect stop for lunch so we could try the local specialty, khao soi. 10/10 I wish Yut could be our guide on every trip. And huge shout out to Eddie, our driver! We got caught in a huge storm on the way back but he drove super safely the whole time. His car is really nice, clean, and comfortable, too.

Great temple excursion! - Great excursion to Chang Rai to see 4 unique temples. Yut made the day so easy for us and thought of everything, bringing cold waters, snacks and umbrellas for us. It was a long ride but he made plenty of stops for bathrooms and to sample fresh fruits from a stand. It rained part of the day but it didn’t interfere in our enjoying the day. I would recommend taking this tour with Yut!

A must do! - Really enjoyed this tour of Chiang Rai with Yut! He shared so much Thai history on our drives and had cold waters and snacks prepared. We stopped for bathroom breaks and even stopped at a fruit station on the way home to try fresh pineapple that was so delicious. I highly recommend this tour!

Great day in Chang Rai! - What a great tour! Yut was so informative and did a great job of navigating us through 4 temples with a stop for lunch.He thought of everything and had cold waters and snacks waiting for us, he took photos of us at each site, and had umbrellas ready when it started to rain.It is a long day but so worth it. If you book you should try to get Yut!

Beautiful Temples with an Amazing Tour Guide! - We had an amazing time doing the tour of four temples in Chiang Rai with our wonderful tour guide and driver, Tong. The temples were all so beautiful, and we loved learning about them from Tong. Tong made the day trip a very fun experience, sharing great information, giving us an incredible authentic Thai dining experience, and even letting us listen to Thai music during the drive to add to our cultural experience. He was very funny and kind, and he filled our day with joy, laughter, and many beautiful pictures and great videos to allow us to really capture the special moments and memories and the beauty of the temples. Tong went out of his way to make the trip special - he even surprised us with different Thai treats to try and beautiful souvenir elephant keychains hand-crafted by his family. Even though the tour involved a lot of driving, Tong made the drive pass by quickly, as he was easy to chat with, and he shared information with us about the land and sights. We loved this tour and are very thankful for the memories we made. We would highly recommend this tour and would highly recommend Tong as an excellent tour guide to make your time at the temples the absolute best!
