Well planned tour of Mumbai from Reality Tours - On buses trains and taxis this well planned tour took us to many places of interest giving us a feel for getting around Mumbai. Visiting the largest outdoor laundry was incredible to see from our vantage point and the logistics behind the delivery of hundreds of thousands of lunches was explained to us by our wonderful tour guide Bipen.

Rishi was very engaging and shepherded us through narrow bazaars and train cars. It was tremendous fun! - Rishi with Reality tours showed us Mumbai from a local’s perspective, especially the daily grind of commuting to work via bus, train and cab.

Riding the trains in Mumbai is a great experience - We had a really good time with our terrific guide, Javed, exploring the local transport options in Mumbai as well as seeing all the interesting sights and markets on the way; I especially loved learning about and seeing the tiffin wallahs in action. It was fun and educational at the same time. As a side note, the article on the Reality Tours and Travel website about using trains in Mumbai is excellent. I followed it to the letter to get us from a late arrival at Panvel station, Mumbai to CSMT and our trip went without a hitch. A great experience.

Bring ear plugs. - This easy-paced walking tour, punctuated by short trips by train (not too crowded) and taxi, showed us the sights of CSMT (the former Victoria Terminus), a local market and the dhabbawallas as they sort the tiffin tins our for delivery to the deskwallas in the city. And lots of masala chai along the way.

Explore the city like a local - Great insight into how the people of Mumbai travel around the city and where they shop. The tour was seamless in combining local transport with local markets, and it was so quick and easy to get around. Chetan was very knowledge and personable and his kindness shone through in the tour. Finishing at Churchgate with the Dubbawallas was very interesting, as I've seen the movie The Lunchbox. I highly recommend this tour so you can see more of the real Mumbai and away from the main touristy areas.

Great first tour for a visit to Mumbai - My husband and I took this tour with Rajesh during a 3-day layover in Mumbai. We knew as first-time visitors, with such a short time in the city, that it would be tough to get around to the most important sites confidently and easily, and so we decided to book some tours. After extensive searching about food tours, Dharavi and other sights, I repeatedly came across Reality tours as a highly-rated company for each type of tour, and decided to book all of our tours with them. I'm so glad we did, we took this tour plus street food and Dharavi tours, (we'd also planned on Elephanta caves, but weather prevented this). We had great communication before and during our stay, and feel we made a great choice! This tour helped us to cover so many of the key highlights of Mumbai in a few short hours using public transport which was something we wanted to do, but would have been nervous about buying the right ticket / catching the right train!! I think this is a great tour to take shortly after arriving in Mumbai however long your stay, as we were much more confident after this about getting around. Unfortunately we had some epic rain for 2 of the 3 days on our visit - and particularly on this morning - but Raj was able to keep us moving at pace and get out of the rain as well as we could and still seeing the sights - I think we'd have been tempted to hunker down indoors without someone who knew where they were going!! Highly recommend this tour and Reality Tours as a company - we absolutely loved their ethos of reinvesting in the community of Dharavi. Raj was the perfect guide, and happy to answer our many questions! Quick tip - wear comfortable shoes, you cover quite a distance! We had umbrellas from our hotel, but Raj and the other guest on our tour had ponchos, which looked easier than putting brolly up and down!

- Great experience with Chetan, our guide. He safely guided us through the impressing crowds in the railway stations, through the markets and back to the meeting point of the Dabawallahs. As a local from the suburbs he has to take the trains every day for 2 hours one way to get into the city. Great knowledge about the city and its transport systems. Just to recommend, even in off season or monsoon.

- Chetan was a very good guide. He had a lot of knowledge and could explain everything. The best thing I found was the short distance we drove by train.

An opportunity to see the real side of Mumbai whilst supporting a valuable charity - We were looking for a slightly different tour and this proved perfect Travelling by train, bus and shared cabs we explored southern Mumbai taking in a variety of produce markets, bazaars, the Dohbi Ghat and finishing with the Dabbawala A good tour always needs a good guide and Rishi was excellent Moreover the tour operator - Reality Gives - is an NGO supporting education in Mumbai’s slum community - so you felt your tourist pounds were going to a very worthwhile cause
