This UNESCO World Heritage Site is designed in the High Victorian Gothic architectural style. Opposite the station is the impressive Bombay Municipal Corporation building, constructed in 1884. - Hanging Gardens - Known as Pherozeshah Mehta Gardens, the Hanging Gardens is a 125-year-old park built on a hill over a water reservoir. It offers sunset views over the Arabian Sea and features numerous green hedges shaped like animals. Adjacent is Kamala Nehru Park, part of the Hanging Gardens, which is a botanical garden. - Dhobi Ghat - The Mahalaxmi Dhobi Ghat is a 138-year-old open-air laundromat. It is one of the few remaining traditional commercial laundries. The washermen, known as ‘Dhobis,’ work in the open to clean and dry clothes.
