Great day trip - This tour allowed for great a stress-free opportunity to see one of the most beautiful places in Europe. As a solo traveller, it was nice to have the transport organised, and all necessary information and help given throughout the day. From start to finish, the tour was amazing, as before we even got to the castle, our guide Franjo was telling us about the history of Bavaria, Ludwig II and the castle as we drove through the beautiful countryisde. Once at the location, it was nice to have a large block of time to do whatever we wanted, rather than being hurried off to the next place. I highly recommend walking a few minutes through the town to the big lake for an amazing view. Franjo was great for giving us tips, explaining our options, and keeping the tour fun and engaging.

Best tour of Neuschwanstein Castle - What a trip! Our wonderful tour guide Anna talked us through the history of King Ludwig II of Bavaria on a dynamic train journey full of socializing with others on our tour. We thoroughly enjoyed neuchenstien castle - the look out from Mary's bridge is a must and the inside of the castle was truly magnificent. You have never seen a castle like it! You can learn and have fun/a laugh with everyone.Anna is truly awsome the best tour guide we have ever had and we have been on many tours ,not only full of information she was funny and super friendly and just made the trip by bringing everyone together Book this tour! You won't regret it!

A great castle with interesting history - The castle itself is definitely amazing, totally worth the visit. The surrounding area is very nice and we had great late lunch with beautiful views. I’m not sure if you needed to join the group tour for this though. Seems to be a lot of time wasted by waiting around. The tour guide was not that helpful as most of the information are available online probably better.

Neuschwanstein Castle tour from Munich - My family of four (including two teenagers) went on the Neuschwanstein Castle tour and had an amazing time. This tour was a highlight of our time in Munich. Jake, our tour guide, was absolutely fantastic and super knowledgeable. He filled the day with fun and tons of interesting information. Highly recommend!!!

Stress Free Trip to Neuschwanstein Castle - The views on the train ride to and from the castle were incredible. Same goes for once you are there- it is beautiful. Stephanie was a great tour guide, very personable and eager to assist and answer questions. We did feel a little rushed inside the castle itself on that tour (not lead by radius they just take you to and from the castle so not their fault). The artwork inside the castle is incredible but the tour is fast paced. We enjoyed the views on the outside and the time we had to hike down and enjoy lunch and snacks before and after. The main pro was a stress free day- Stephanie handled all the logistics and gave us some nice history. I would recommend this trip to friends!

stress-free experience and helpful guide make this trip worth the cost - Excellent day trip. Well-organized and Jake, the super informative guide, joyfully built community among the group while we experienced the castle together. The tour inside is short but don't listen to the people who say it isn't worth it--if you're going to take the 2 hour trip, you should go inside!

Really fun day. Great tour. Recommend. - Really great day. Radius Tours made it easy. Met at their office and walked the short distance to the train station. On the train we got some history from our guide. Transferred to a bus for the last bit, easy as Radius had that set up for us. We had an hour in town before meeting for the shuttle to the Bridge and Castle. The bridge provided amazing views. We were there on a Sunday in late February. It was chilly and foggy but didn't hinder the tour. I can imagine that the whole experience is a bit more crowded during the summer. The castle tour is excellent. It is such an interesting place. Return trip was the reverse and also very easy. You pay for the castle tour and shuttle on your own (which is made clear by Radius when booking). You're paying for the convenience of having the day organized, travel, and guide commentary. We felt it was totally worth it. Mark was super fun and we appreciated the service.

Neuschwanstein Castle Tour - I wasn't sure what to expect and I was a bit worried if it would be 'worth' it since it is a full day investment...but would highly recommend this tour. We had Lana and Jeremy as guides -- and they were both excellent (& so funny). My biggest hesitation about this tour was why would it take 10 hours. So I thought I would break it down for others if they had questions. - Met at Radius Office at 9:15 - Introductions and started walking to train station around 9:30 - Got on train and headed to Füssen around 10:00. - Arrived in Fussen around 11;50 - Took a bus then to bottom of castle area / village. this is about at 15 minute bus-ride and a bit crowded - We then had about 1 hour to wander around/eat before meeting up again at 1:05. Our family brought our lunch -- so we walked around the town - to the lake -- up to the 'father's' castle, etc. We had plenty of time to do that. - After meeting back with guide at 1;05 - we then hiked up to the castle...where we would stop every so often to hear about the history. Lana was very entertaining in how she told us the story. - Our entry time to the castle was 2:20. The guides do not go with us into the castle -- this is run by (maybe?) part of the gov't. Like others have mentioned - this is only about 30 minutes -- given that the whole interior is not completed. For me, this was enough time in the castle, since the beauty is really the outside and surroundings. It's worth going in -- but not the 'main' reason to visit the castle (which is the nature / beauty of the outside) - We were then done around 3:00 -- and had 1:20 hours before we had to meet back our guide at the bottom of the hill / in the village. This gave us time to walk down the road and go have something to eat -- with time to spare. - Then bus ride back to the train station ... with 2 hour train ride. It was a fabulous day and for us worth the investment of both time and money. Thank you to Radius and Lana and Jeremy for a wonderful day.

Full day Neuschwanstein Castle tour - The tour and guides (Thomas and Adrian) were excellent and the background information provided was fascinating. However, the portion of the tour involving the interior rooms and delivered via a recording on a handheld device and hurried through the rooms by a disinterested government “guide” was disappointing at best.
