EPIC!!! - When my friend said, “That was the most epic trip ever,” you know you've hit the jackpot. From the moment we arrived in Lapland, everything felt magical — endless white landscapes, crisp Arctic air, and that quiet stillness you only get that far north. But what made it unforgettable wasn’t just the setting — it was Ciara, Susi, and their incredible team of huskies. The husky experience was beyond anything I imagined. Meeting each dog, learning their personalities, feeling their excitement before any activity we did — it’s pure joy. Their love and care for the dogs is obvious in every detail. These aren’t just working animals; they’re family. Walking through snow-covered forests and across frozen landscapes felt surreal — like stepping into another world. Exploring the snowy trails on foot with the huskies was pure magic. There’s something incredibly grounding about walking beside them, watching their personalities shine, and feeling that bond grow with every step. Something we’ll never forget. It was peaceful, exhilarating, and emotional all at once. Ciara and Susi create an atmosphere that’s warm, welcoming, and deeply personal. You feel like you’re visiting friends rather than booking a tour. Their knowledge of the region, their storytelling, and their passion for what they do elevate the entire experience. If you’re considering a trip to Lapland, this is it. Authentic, intimate, adventurous, and full of heart. Truly one of those rare travel experiences that stays with you forever. Worth every penny and then some!!

beautiful winter escape - Ciara & Susi were so welcoming and kind and we had a wonderful time in the snowy landscape of Lapland!! Walking with the snowshoes was so much fun and we also had a stop on the hill, heating up snacks on the fire in a little hut before we made our way back down again. Both of them were really familiar with the area and gave us some good recommendations for our remaining time here. Being in a small group also felt very comfortable, other than most of the more commercial tours in Lapland. We would definitely come again :)

Beautiful landscape with many opportunities for activities - Had a holiday apartment right on the lake. could walk across the lake to shop in the city. Beautiful. For the children who wanted to snowboard, the ski resort Ylläs was about 15 minutes away by car. For cross-country skiing was practically right outside our door a trail. We did hikes through the unspoilt nature, visited a snowmobile ride and a reindeer farm, including a reindeer sleigh ride. All in all, I can only recommend going to Äkäslompolo.
