• Akaslompolo - Between December and April, Äkäslompolo becomes a winter wonderland, with snow-laden branches forming natural archways and the polar night enveloping everything in a mystical blue hue. The village is the gateway to over 330 kilometers of pristine cross-country ski trails and numerous winter walking paths, each leading to hidden gems in the surrounding wilderness.
  Here, modern life slows to the gentle rhythm of the Arctic seasons.
