- Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park - The adventure will take place in or near Pallas-Ylläs National Park, where the Northern Lights will be pursued. This involves a drive of approximately 15-45 minutes from Levi, depending on the optimal location for viewing the Northern Lights that evening. The tour will last up to 7 hours, or until the Northern Lights are seen. As a private tour, the end time is flexible based on your preference. A small wilderness hut can be found to set up a campfire while waiting for the Northern Lights, with snacks and drinks provided. This option is included in the price.
- Levi Ski Resort - The journey begins in Levi, with pick-up from your accommodation. A visit to the top of Levi Ski Resort is possible if desired, but the primary focus is to venture deeper into the wilderness, away from light pollution and crowds. The highlight will be viewing the Northern Lights from a secret location.
- Pulju Wilderness Area - If weather conditions necessitate traveling further, Pallas-Ylläs National Park can be bypassed in favor of the Pulju Wilderness Area. The tour allows for travel anywhere within a 2-3 hour driving distance to view the Northern Lights. The location will be chosen together, based on the guide’s recommendations and your schedule.
- Levi - At the conclusion of the tour, you will be dropped off at your accommodation in the Levi area. Pick-up and drop-off locations are flexible, so if your accommodation is further from Levi, please contact us. It is likely to be acceptable. Any location within a 30-minute driving distance from Levi is automatically acceptable.

Fantastic experience - We booked the private Northern lights tour for our family which was excellent! Our guide Lauri checked the weather forecasts and aurora activity to drive us to a location which would give us the best opportunity to see the lights. We had a while to wait but the kids had fun helping Lauri make a camp fire and cooking sausages & marshmallows. This would have been a fantastic experience in itself however our patience was finally rewarded and we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. Whilst driving back to our apartment Lauri kept a check for any further activity and found a second place to stop to see the lights again. Lauri spent over 6hrs with us and we were not hurried even when the activity forecasts did not look good. It was such a memorable evening - I’d definitely recommend booking.

Best northern lights tour in Levi - If you are serious about seeing the northern lights, this private tour is definitely the way to go! Our guide Lauri did everything possible to find the lights for us, including driving to Sweden to get the best chance. We unfortunately went when the activity level was low, the clouds were blanketing Levi and the moon was at half show which didn’t make for the best conditions. Lauri drove out of the cloud covered area, in driving snow, to get us into clear skies and after a while waiting, the lights appeared. He used many different data sets to develop a personal plan and took us wherever he needed to go to find the lights for us. This was different from the other tours that just seem to go to predetermined spots. We took several other tours while in Levi and none of them even remotely compared to this private tour. If we had not taken this tour, there is no way we would have seen the lights as brilliantly as we did. After listening to some of the things we were interested in doing on our trip, he also set up an arctic polar plunge/spa trip for us which allowed us to check off a bucket list item. Take my word for it, this tour is worth every penny.

Cannot recommend enough. Best Levi Northern Lights tour - I proposed during our private northern lights tour and Lauri could not have been a better guide and host for such an important moment. We had great visibility of the Northern Lights and Lauri helped me organize the surprise and get some incredible photos. If you are coming to Levi to see the Northern Lights do not look further, go with Lazy Santa.

Thanks to this tour we saw the lights on the cloudiest day forecast - The forecast for our week in Lapland was looking terrible for catching aurora, we had a cloudy forecast, so I honestly think we wouldn’t see the lights had it not been for Lauri that took us 100km north of Levi to escape the clouds. He truly made the research and knew exactly which way to drive and what direction to turn. And wow did the lights put on a show that we will remember forever. The moment they began dancing across the sky, it felt like witnessing pure magic. Lauri’s expertise was incredible - he knew exactly where to take us to capture the most breathtaking views of the aurora borealis. On the way he also took us to a local bar/petrol stop that was so lovely and authentic it also made it like more than just an aurora hunting tour.
He also made photos of us with his camera that is such a priceless memory we get to keep forever.

Exceptional Northern Lights tour - Highly recommend Lazy Santa Tours. We took the Northern Lights private tour, the conditions weren’t great but Lauri used his experience and knowledge of the local area to maximise our chances and yeah we got to see the beautiful northern lights.
Genuinely couldn’t have done it without you Lauri, thank you. And the snow fire pit, sausages and random Reindeer sightings were a bonus. Book this tour, you won’t be disappointed 😊

We kidnapped Lazy Santa Claus. - After the first experience hunting auroras with the jeep we asked Lauri to organize all the other activities we wanted to do in Levi.
He organized and accompanied us on a wonderful snowhiking with a stop in a kota to warm up and make a barbecue.
Rely on Lauri to plan activities throughout your stay... she will give you great advice on what to do even on your own: aurora, food, things to see...

Amazing Experience - I highly recommend lazy santa !
I tested all the activities he offers and none of them disappointed me.
On the contrary, I am happy to have been able to discover Lapland thanks to him!
Friendly and pleasant it was a pleasure to do these activities in his company.
Each of them being better than each other.
Especially since the activities are much better in a small committee than in a large group of about twenty people who are usually proposed.

Great guide! - Not only did Lazy Santa accompany us on several activities, but he did so with the good humor and passion we love to see in a guide.
