• Mooball - Begin your journey at the iconic Moo Moo roadhouse in Mooball.

Arrive with the bikes across from the roadhouse and get equipped with a top-notch E Bike, helmet, hi-viz backpack, and a smartphone app for navigation. After a brief bike and safety orientation, you’re ready to embark on your adventure.

• Crabbes Creek - Choose to cycle back from Mooball to Crabbes Creek, a charming segment of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail featuring the first tunnel at Mills Road. Crabbes Creek also boasts an adorable general store, accessible with a short detour from the Trail. Opt to visit the store or simply enjoy the scenic countryside en route to Burringbar.
• Burringbar - A delightful village stop on your E bike journey along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. Explore The Barn (excellent coffee and food), Brooklyn (wine tasting room), and Heaths Antiquities, a shop brimming with fascinating old items. Upon leaving Burringbar, ride through The Pines, a favorite trail section with a magnificent canopy of Pine trees.
• Stokers Siding - Between Burringbar and Stokers lies the highlight for many on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, the Burringbar Tunnel. At 524m, it is the longest tunnel on the trail and an exciting E Bike experience. Remember to activate your bike lights and watch for glowworms and micro bats!

After the Tunnel, arrive in Stokers Siding, a quaint hinterland village featuring a charming old station post office shop, pottery, and an Art Gallery.

• Dunbible - Just before reaching Dunbible, cross the historic railway bridge at Dunbible Creek, offering a fantastic photo opportunity on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail.
• Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre - A slight detour from the rail trail leads to the Tweed Regional Art Gallery. This stunning location offers impressive art and the delightful Apex restaurant, making it a must-visit for culture enthusiasts.
• Murwillumbah - Conclude the Northern Rivers Rail Trail at this excellent lunch spot. Consider dining at Wild Thyme, Ju Jus, or Relish for a casual café experience, or the Imperial Hotel (with an award-winning gelato bar next door!) for a pub lunch. Alternatively, continue a bit further to the M Arts Precinct.
• M|Arts Precinct - Discover the vibrant M Arts precinct in Murwillumbah, a hub of artists and creative businesses. Browse the artists, savor delicious food at Bistro Livi, Ben’s patisserie, or the cheese shop, or enjoy a drink at Mur bar (also home to Spangled Drongo Brewery). A must-see for any Murwillumbah visit.
• Urliup Road - A breathtaking road between Murwillumbah and Husk Distillery. Effortlessly climb on your E Bike through lush rainforest with stunning views of the cane fields and Mount Wollombin. Enjoy the fresh forest air and dip your feet in bubbling creeks. This road is optional, depending on your tour length preference, with a quicker, flatter route to Husk through the cane fields available.
• Husk Distillers - The tour’s final destination. Relax in the beautiful grounds of Husk Farm Distillery. Enjoy a meal or one of their signature Squid Ink gin and tonics. We will then collect you and the bikes and return to the starting point at New Brighton.

Embark on a self-guided e-bike adventure through the stunning Tweed hinterland, concluding at the renowned Husk Farm Distillery. The journey begins at our Mooball location, conveniently situated opposite the southern end of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. This scenic route blends trail riding with serene country roads and lush rainforest.

Travel at your leisure using our navigation app, with the freedom to pause and explore the beautiful surroundings. The path features segments of the Rail Trail, historic bridges, tunnels, and diverse hinterland scenery, continuing through rainforest and farmland towards Tumbulgum.

Husk Farm Distillery offers an ideal spot to unwind at the ride’s end, with tastings of Husk Rum and Ink Gin available.

We supply a top-quality e-bike, helmet, lock, pannier or backpack, and a comprehensive briefing before departure. For added convenience, optional return transport to Mooball is offered.

This self-guided tour allows for independent exploration, enabling you to enjoy the ride at your own pace.
