Bimmah Sinkhole – Fins Beach – Wadi Shab – Wadi Tiwi – Ras Al Hadd
Bimmah Sinkhole - Departing from Muscat, the journey heads towards Hawiyyat Najm, known in English as Bimmah Sinkhole. This water-filled depression, a natural sinkhole, is located in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in Oman, near the Al Sharqiyah region, just off the highway to Sur.
Bimmah Sinkhole - Following this, the drive continues to Fins. Fins Beach is renowned for its stunning cliffs. The beach becomes even more enchanting at sunset, with a myriad of hues reflecting on the waves.
Wadi Shab - The journey then proceeds to Wadi Shab, a vast canyon gorge lined with palm trees, showcasing the impressive power of water descending from the mountains. After a 35-minute hike through the canyon, visitors reach one of several crystal-clear water pools. Tourists can swim through the warm waters from pool to pool, eventually reaching the last pool where an opening among the massive rocks allows entry into a breathtaking crevice cave with a small waterfall. Inside, sunlight filters in, turning the water a beautiful turquoise blue as water cascades down one side of the cave from the wadi beyond. After exploring Wadi Shab, the drive continues to the hotel in Ras Al Hadd.

Sur – Dhow Factory – Omani Ghazal Farm – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands Desert
Sur - After breakfast, the journey departs the hotel and heads to Sur. In the morning, the city of Sur is explored, featuring old fortresses and the renowned Arabian Dhow Factory, where traditional wooden Dhows are constructed.
Dhow Factory - Sur is one of the most significant and historic sites in Arabia, famous for building wooden boats. “Dhow” in Arabic translates to “boat.” Located south of the Khor Al Batah suspension bridge, this museum is rich in historical significance. It also serves as a museum showcasing various sections, with the distinguished Wilayat emblem ‘Al Ghanja Ship’ adorning the entrance. A walk through the factory offers a fascinating glimpse into the traditional methods of wooden boat construction.
The journey then continues to visit the Omani Ghazal Farm in Al Kamel (Asilel Farm).
Wadi Bani Khalid - The next stop is Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the largest and most beautiful wadis in Oman. Here, visitors can swim, sunbathe, relax, and enjoy a picnic amidst the scenic wadi canyons.
Wahiba Sands - In the late afternoon, the journey proceeds to the desert camp in the Wahiba Sands desert, where relaxation or an adventurous 4×4 drive in the sand dunes awaits.
The day concludes with watching the stunning desert sunset from one of the large sand dunes, followed by dinner at the camp and a romantic time around a campfire.

Watching Sunrise - Nizwa Fort - Nizwa Souk - Birkat Ak Mouz - Irrigation System of Al Kattmyn - Jebel Akhdar - Muscat
Nizwa Fort Oman - Witnessing the sunrise early in the morning from the dunes before breakfast, the journey departs Wahiba Sand Desert around 8:30 AM, with stops for photos in the dunes. The destination is the old capital of Oman, where the famous Nizwa Fortress is visited. Today, the fort serves as a museum showcasing the history of the fort and surrounding area. Walking through the fortress offers stunning views of the ancient town and nearby mountains. This impressive fortress was a military base used to withstand the toughest attacks and sieges.
Nizwa Souk - Adjacent to the fortress is the expansive Nizwa Souq, a local marketplace offering a variety of goods including jewelry, pottery, fish, and meats.
Birkat Al Mouz Ruins - The journey then continues to the foot of Jebel Akhdar, to an old village called Birkat Al Mauz.
Aflaj Irrigation Systems of Oman - Following this, the Irrigation System of Al Kattmyn, one of the five UNESCO heritage irrigation systems, is visited.
Jebel Akhdar - From there, the journey ascends to Jebel Akhdar, also known as the Green Mountain, which is home to many fruit plantations and rose gardens. Visitors can take time to walk through the hills and enjoy the valley views. Jebel Akhdar offers much to explore before the drive back to Muscat.
