- Wahiba Sands - After exploring Wadi Bani Khalid, the tour continues to the Wahiba Sands Desert. Here, visitors have the opportunity to meet a Bedouin family, enjoy coffee with them, and optionally ride a camel, followed by watching the sunset. The tour then returns to Muscat.
The Wahiba Sands Desert is a highlight of any visit to Oman. The stunning orange sand dunes provide a unique experience, particularly at sunrise and sunset.

Best experience in wahiba sand and wadi bani khalid - This is our best day in the last 5 days. We never met any guide like him. Mr. Fauzi make our day so special. He go with us and explain everything in wadi bani khalid and wahiba sand.. such a greatful person he is…

Give us amazing experience - This trip was an amazing experience.
At the wadi, there was a beautiful lake where we could swim comfortably—it was refreshing and peaceful.
We visited the desert around sunset, so it wasn’t too hot and the atmosphere was perfect.
Riding a camel was also a lot of fun!
And above all, our guide made the experience truly special.
He was not only cool and funny, but also incredibly kind and attentive.
He was simply the best!

The guiding and driving in the desert was excellent.
If you come to Oman, you should leave it to them as your guide.

Best experience in Oman - We had a great driver with excellent local knowledge. First we stopped for a swim in Wadi Bani Khalid an then we had sufficient time at sunset in the desert. The sand was so smooth. Of course we did not miss the opportunity to meet locals and to make a short camel ride. It was worth every rial paid!

Amazing sunset in the desert - We had a full-day tour to Wahiba Sand Desert to see the dunes and the sunset.
Our guide Amer picked us up from the hotel and he was the star of our tour. He told us about the omani history and culture. He was very knowledgeable, kind and masterful driver in the intense Oman traffic.
The Wahiba Sands desert was simply an amazing experience. Amer took us to a private spot where we had superb views at the western horizon as the sun set in the rose-gold desert. After the sunset we had a dinner together.
We skipped the camel ride (and should have skipped the visit to ”bedouin village” which was as authentic as the snow at the Mall of Oman). However, our reaction was well-read by Amer who swiftly took us to enjoy the desert views and sunset.
Our recommendation is to go directly to the desert - and skip the camel ride and the bedouin village - and enjoy the desert for as long as possible. The silence, gentle desert winds and beautiful sunset are all worth it.

Excellent Desert Sunset Tour - Did this tour with Muneer. As a tip, make sure you have WhatsApp so you can communicate easily with your tour guide. The tour pick up time was 11:30am. Muneer arrived early at our hotel to pick us up but since I didn’t have WhatsApp I didn’t see his initial message. He took us to the first destination, Wadi Bani Khalid. He was very flexible in accommodating eating times and bathroom breaks and didn’t rush us. We opted not to swim in the wadi since we did water activities the past 2 days so we spent less time there and more time eating lunch since we were hungry. We arrived at Wahiba Sands around 4:30pm and we had dates and Arabic coffee in a Bedouin house. We also did a short camel ride (bring cash). The highlight of the tour was exploring the nearby sand dunes. Even though we rented a 4WD and had the right car to go into the desert, having a tour guide or local here was invaluable, as he brought us to a place to take great pictures at sunset, and you can easily get stuck in a the sand dunes if you don’t know where to drive. Muneer explained a lot about the culture and location and took great pictures of us. It was such a surreal experience and the desert was so otherworldly looking. We finished at after the sunset and Muneer brought us back to our hotel; we arrived around 8:45pm. I highly recommend this tour.

Very nice trip with the perfect sunset on the camel back! - Very nice day tour with a good english speaking guide! Got to talk about everything and had good knowledge about the main events in the trip. Had no hurry and formed the trip for us as we liked. The sunset camel riding was a experience that we will remember for a long time! Perfect weather and beutiful sunset. Would highly recommend!
