Amazing Trip - Our trip with Muneer to see Wahiba Sands Desert and Wadi Bani Khalid was incredible and was the highlight of our trip. Muneer picked us up on time from our hotel, he was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. On our long 3 hour journey to the Wadi he spent time taking to us about the Omani history and culture. He made sure we were always comfortable making sure we had enough water and food throughout and made necessary bathroom stops along the way. He always gave us the time and space to explore by ourselves in the Wadi and the desert while explaining the history of each place. He showed us the best spots for photos and took time out to take incredible photos of us. Finally a very memorable and unexpected touch was during our visit to our final stop in the desert for sunset Muneer provided us traditional Omani clothing for our photos. It was such a thoughtful and unique gesture that made the end of the day truly special. On our way back to Muscat he dropped us at a very nice area upon our request for a nice place to have dinner.

An amazing and unforgettable experience . The highlight of our trip to Oman so far ! - Our day started with the prompt arrival of our fantastic Guide and Driver Mr Munir ! An almost 3 hour drive to Wadi Bani flew by, watching the beautiful scenery as we drove along the pristine motorway. Wadi Bani Khalid is truly breathtaking ! I definitely look forward to returning to Oman and spending a whole afternoon there ! Then it was off to the desert. The Bedouin tent we visited was so far the most authentic I’ve experienced in the Gulf region. We capped off the day watching the sunset in the absolutely stunning desert dunes. Words fail me to describe how tranquil and beautiful it was . Both tours today have been the highlight of our stay in Oman. Lastly, traveling with Mr Munir felt like we were in the care of a big brother, he is knowledgeable, friendly , patient and takes stunning photos and videos (which was a surprising plus ! ) .

The most memorable desert experience and a not to be missed Wadi in Oman - Deserve their places in the Top 10 things to do or attractions in Oman - the Wahoba Sands (Shaquiah) and the Wadi Bani Khalid ( not to be missed). We were lucky to be guided by Mr Munir again. This guide is enthusiastic and really wants to show you the beauty of Oman. He takes care of your needs. The Omani hospitality is generous. The day went very smoothly. Impeccable timing. He’s also a very safe driver. You need a guy like him who knows how to drive and he takes time to take safety precautions to get in to the dessert. We started the day at the Wadi. There was a lot of constructions going on at the bottom. Mr Munir instructed us to swim from the bottom. We weren’t so keen at first - but please trust the advice. You won’t regret it. You swim up the cascade of water ways. The cascade and stone formations form a great backdrop to the crystal clear fresh water. Spectacular. We took time at the wadi. And the guide never gets bothered. He patiently waited for us. Then it’s on to lunch - the buffet. You must try the camel stew. It’s delicious. Afterwards, we went to the Bedouin house. We were greeted with Bedouin tea and dates. Mr Munir then explained to us about Bedouin culture, the tent is really a museum. We bought a hand woven basket. We went on a camel ride. Then we went to watch the sunset across the the sand dunes… it’s incredible. It concludes our Oman visit with great memories. Thank you Mr Munir, thank you Star/Sunshine tours

A day to Wadi Bani Khaled and the desert - We enjoyed the trip to Wadi Bani Khaled and the Wahiba sand desert. Our tour guide, Nasr, made sure we arrived at the locations on time – in particular for the sunset – and provided us with valuable information, not only about the locations themselves but also about various aspects of Bedouin life. Recommended!

Exploring the Breathing Taking Landscape of Oman - We had a most wonderful experience with Star Tours in Oman. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and this is definitely one for the books. Aziz picked us up from our hotel in the morning and it was magical from then on. From understanding some cultural significance to exploring parts of Oman and the desert, it was truly a fulfilling and exciting adventure.

Wonderful visit of the Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Sands Desert - We had a wonderful day vistiting the Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Sands Desert with Aziz. At the Wadi we enjoyed a swim in the beautiful turquoise waters before we continued onwards to enjoy a traditional Bedouin coffee and dates, camel treck, and a beautiful sunset over the sand dunes. Aziz made us feel very welcome and comfortable, providing tea and dates along the way. We look forward to continuing exploring this beautiful country.

Perfect day out - We had a great day out with Aziz to Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba Sands. Aziz pointed out good swimming spots in the wadi for us to swim in and picked out a very scenic viewpoint to watch the sunset in the desert. We enjoyed learning about Omani customs and trying out Omani delicacies with him.

Great day with Muneer - Spent a great day with Muneer. He spoke English perfectly, was both very knowledgeable about the sights and patient. He made the trip very smooth although there was quite a bit of driving, we left from the Jumeirah Muscat Bay hotel. We liked that he knew about spots that are less crowded (e.g desert) and was always available to take pictures of us. We definite recommend Sunshine tours for a smooth, safe and comfortable tour.

Excellent private day tour with many new experiences - We had a great experience with Nasr who excellently guided us from morning until evening, finishing off with a magical sunset in the desert. We started off by car and headed to the Whadi, which took about 3h from our hotel outside of Muscat. After a small hike we could go for a swim before heading to the place where we had lunch. The lunch restaurant served traditional Omani food and we both tried camel meat, which tasted excellent. There were plenty of other things to choose from as well. From there we went on to the bedouins where we learned more about Omani-customs and got to meet a lot of camels. Not very far from the besouins’ place (10-15min drive) Nasr took us out in the desert to see the sunset. A wonderful experience and Nasr is a great photographer! We got some really nice shots.
