Al Hoota Cave - Al Hoota Cave is a 2-million-year-old limestone cave system near Jabal Shams in Oman, famous for being the only show cave on the Arabian Peninsula. Visitors can explore about 500 meters of the 4.5km-long cave, which features massive stalactites and stalagmites, four underground lakes, and the rare, blind fish, Garra barreimiae. The accessible part of the cave is reached via an electric train and features guided tours with special lighting.

Misfat al Abreyeen - Located in an oasis at 1000 meters above sea level in the Western Hajar mountains, it has an extensive falaj water canalization system which dates back more than 2,000 years. It is still in use nowadays to supply the village with water from a local spring, and to irrigate the terraced fields where crops such as mangoes, pomegranates, figs, and olives are grown.
