The Opera House aims to be a center of excellence in global cultural engagement. - Al Alam Palace - The Al Alam Palace, known as the “Palace of the Flag,” is situated in Old Muscat, Oman. It served as a ceremonial palace for Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. As one of the six sultanic residences of the monarch, it boasts a history of over 200 years and was constructed under the supervision of Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, the 7th direct ancestor of Sultan Qaboos.
- Al Jalali Fort - Al Jalali Fort, also known as Ash Sharqiya Fort, is located in the harbor of Old Muscat, Oman. Built by the Portuguese under Philip I of Portugal in the 1580s, it was intended to protect the harbor after Muscat was twice attacked by Ottoman forces. It was captured by Omani forces in 1650. During the civil wars between 1718 and 1747, the fort was twice seized by Persians who were invited to support one of the rival Imams. The fort underwent extensive reconstruction later.
- Mirani Fort - Fort Al-Mirani is a fort originally constructed by the Portuguese, located in the harbor of Old Muscat, Oman.
- Mutrah Fort - Muttrah Fort is a historic fort in the wilayat of Muttrah in Muscat. The fort occupies a commanding position on the hills overlooking the natural harbor of Muttrah, making it a formidable defensive position against attacks while also providing a vantage point for observing the surrounding area from its watchtowers.
- Mutrah Souq - Next is Muttrah Souk, where a variety of souvenirs can be found. Muttrah Souk is one of the oldest marketplaces in Oman, with a history spanning two hundred years.

The Grand Mosque will be a PHOTO STOP ONLY from the outside. It is one of the largest mosques in the world and is open only from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

A very worthwhile activity. - Excellent whistle stop tour alloeing us to see many of the major tourist attractions in an afternoon.
Our guide Jihad gave a great running commentary throughout with super knowledge of the cities history and answered all our searching questions.
Highly recommend this actovity.

Beautiful experience - The tour was very well organized and truly interesting. Our guide Ali did an excellent work! In couple of hours he showed us so many nice places and talked about the history and present time of Muscat and Oman. He also provided us with local food and drinks! Absolutely recommended!

Memorable private half-day tour of Muscat - Amazing half-day afternoon tour of Muscat with our tour guide, Waleed. We visited the Royal Opera House Muscat, the Mutra Souq, the Sultan’s palace, the Grand Mosque as well as a wonderful scenic view of Muscat at night.
Waleed was friendly and informative and was happy to make the afternoon and night a very comfortable and memorable experience. We definitely recommend this tour, especially if you are short on time. The photos don’t do Muscat justice but it’s definitely worth a place on your bucket list.

Wonderfully interesting city tour - We were accompanied by Khalid Al Siyabi, who is the most fantastic tour guide possible ! He complied with our specific requests and even deviated slightly from the scheduled route to accommodate us with things we wanted to see. He is super interesting, knows the history of the country and city, and kept us fascinated with facts about every location and historical events. He is highly recommended !
