The best way to see Uluru! - I did the Uluru Base Segway Tour at Sunrise and it was thoroughly enjoyable - I can’t imagine seeing Uluru any other way now. Sy was our guide and he was brilliant - knowledgeable, respectful when explaining the history and cultural significance, and friendly and chatty. Everything was well organised from the start - a prompt pick-up followed by a great breakfast with lots of options while watching an unreal sunrise view of Uluru. Before we set off, we got a clear crash course on the Segways. A few people were nervous at first but everyone quickly got the hang of it. The Segways are such a fun way to see Uluru, especially in the heat. In December temperatures, walking the whole way would’ve been brutal, but this meant we could comfortably take it all in. I highly recommend this tour!

So fun and educational too! - This Segway tour was so much fun! We were hesitant about riding the Segway beforehand but there is a short training to begin and it was all we needed to get comfortable on them. Seeing Uluru on Segway is a unique experience and much more exciting than walking by foot. Our guide was very knowledgable and made frequent stops to show us specific areas and tell us their history. Definitely worth seeing Uluru this way, an amazing experience!

A must do at Uluru - My guide Syd was welcoming and attentive, knowledgeable about the history of the site. the group is relatively big and he managed the group very well and handled incidents (aggressive tourist ane a falling accident) appropriately so that the tour was enjoyable for everyone.

A brilliant way to see Uluru - We opted for this Segway tour in place of a hike during this 40° heat and it didn't disappoint. Fantastic experience with knowledgeable, fun guides. Breakfast is included with coffees, teas, muffins, croissants and more. We saw the sunrise hit Uluru and saw the colours on the face of the rock change. We were taken around the base of Uluru, stopping along the way to learn about the geology, mythology, and history of this ancient place. One of our group had to stop when feeling faint for a short while, and our guide was helpful, put no pressure on the person, and continually offered to help. Couldn't ask for more. If you want to see Uluru, this is a great alternative to a hike.

Would you like a fly so that croissant? - We were scheduled for the Full Base Tour. Due to unprecedented rains a few days ago, the tour was changed to an alternative shorter Segway tour and walking tour. It was nice. The company did an adequate job of an alternative schedule. Sye our guide was very knowledgeable and provided good info. Because of the change in schedule, the company offered cancelation up until about 14 hours before which was very good. The ONLY reason they lost a star on this review was because the tour included a sunrise breakfast with croissants and muffins and coffee. I would have really liked to try the croissant in particular but I prefer not to have fly poop with my croissant in the morning. Because of the rains, there are a tremendous amount of grippy flies. They should have just kept it covered or used netting on the coffee or swatted them away. Once again the guide was great and speaking to us but others could have been tending to the food.

Nice Tour of Uluru - It was a fun tour, I enjoyed it. The Segway was a little tricky at first, but you get used to it fairly quickly. Not too long of a tour, which was good with how hot it was outside.

It's an early start but... - It's an early start but the view is worth to see how the first sun rays hit Uluru. The Segway tour itself felt a bit rushed, they stop at specific places to explain about the history which was interesting and during hot days going around on a Segway is more convenient than walking but you do not get to stop when you'd like.

You don’t see all the points of interest - I was a bit disappointed with the Segway tour of the full base of Uluru. While the experience itself was enjoyable, it misses a significant and arguably one of the most important sections, the Mala Walk. This means you don’t get up close to key highlights like the Kitchen Cave or experience the stunning finish at Kantju Gorge with its impressive vertical walls. If you’re short on time and won’t have the opportunity to return to Uluru to explore what you’ve missed, this tour may not be the best choice. For those wanting to see everything Uluru has to offer, I wouldn’t recommend this option. Also sunrise from the car park isn’t as good as from the platforms, which you can’t access on this tour.

Wet Trail - Bad For Segways - Our timing was bad. It had rained 11 days prior to our tour and some of the trail was still wet. The tour company proceeded with the tour, but we didn’t even Segway halfway around Ayers Rock. That was disappointing. The two tour guides, however, were great.
