Another Day Begins - This one is an early start. Collected from our hotel at 5.15am by Chloe and Andy, Great guides and lots of info. Firstly we were taken to Kata Tjuta lookout. While waiting we were served tea, Coffee, Hot Choc with biscuits. We were blessed with a magical sunrise, the changing colours, the fresh morning air. I felt so privileged to have been able to experience something so beautiful, so timeless. After the sun was up we were taken to Kata Tjuta to do a gorge walk. The walk was approx. 2km up rocky ground, So be sure to have suitable shoes on for this.( no sandals or flipflops). It was very do-able in the cool morning air. We were served more biscuits, fruit & nut, snacks and water before and after this trek. We were really well looked after. Kata Tjuta means = many heads. It is a male ONLY ceremonial ground where women are not allowed. Hence there are no stories about what actually goes on there as only initiated males Elders of the Tribe are privvy to them. It was all very interesting.

Great sunrise! - Our Uluru Sunrise Experience started out being picked up later than we expected. Then we went back to the first pick up spot to pick up a couple who were not on time. This caused us to be late to the mountain. The sun was already rising. Most people ran pass the morning drinks and food provided to race to the sunrise viewing platform. We were able to watch the sun finish rising and saw the colors on the face of Ayers Rock. That was beautiful! Then we needed to return to the bus to head to Kata Tjuta and all of the food/drinks had been cleared out. I'm sure the late couple appreciated that the bus returned for them, but the rest of us would have appreciated being at Ayers Rock on time and having a coffee or not having to race to the platform! Our guide was Chloe and she did a great job during our walk at Kata Tjuta National Park and to Walpa Gorge. This is a very rocky, uneven walk going uphill that takes about 30 minute up and back. Wear good walking/hiking shoes. It is very beautiful. We were provided with snacks and water at this point. We also saw a pack of 5 wild camels near the side of the road! Great excursion overall!

Fantastic experience. Once in a life time event. - Well worth the effort of an early start. We live on a mountain side in Spain and see glorious sunrises but add Uluru to it and you have one of the great specticals in life. Don't miss it.

Sunrise and trekking - We had a fantastic guide. He shared experiences growing up and around the culture as well as in depth information about all the sites. Flies can be an issue. Felt a bit rushed at times.

Fantastic Trip! - We were picked up at 5:00 and taken to a platform to watch the sunrise over Uluru. Breakfast wasn’t included, but they offered coffee, tea and hot chocolate and some cookies. Once the sun was up, we had a outa 45 minute ride to Kata Jjuta. Once there, we walked down into Wolfpack Gorge. This was a 2.4 km round trip walk on very rocky, uneven terrain and it made a wind tunnel as well, so it was. Dry windy. It was very hot and sunny and the flies were everywhere and relentless. We wished we had brought face nets with us. The walk was beautiful and we were glad to have done it. Our guide gave us a bit of information along the way, it it was difficult, because people moved at their own pace. On our way back to the hotel, we stopped at a viewing platform where we could see 6 or 7 of the 36 domes all at once. We returned to the hotel about 11:45.

Sister's Trip Down Under - This is a beautiful trip. Worth getting up so early for. The color changes on the rock is something that cannot be described. We got a once in a life time opportunity to get a rainbow on the rock. That was amazing.

Hire a car and do it yourselves. Not worth a tour. - Better off to hire a car and go by yourselves. No added value to the tour as all the activities were free and limited additional services provided (some commentary from guide and very light refreshments). Walpa Gorge walk was very short - Valley of the Wind would have been a better walk and allowed you to see more of Kata Tjuta.
