Ammoudi is a beach complex situated 4km east of Plakias, where visitors will have approximately 2.5 hours to unwind and soak up the sun. Its unique feature is the green slippery rock in the center, which adds to its charm. The beach is moderately equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds, and a few nearby taverns. Ammoudi boasts thick white sand and a rocky seabed, perfect for diving and snorkeling, with waters that shine a bright green hue.
- Preveli beach - The second stop is Preveli Beach, also known as Palm Beach Preveli, located at the mouth of the impressive Kourtaliotis gorge, where the Grand River flows.
Visitors will have around 2.5 hours to enjoy this location!
It is undoubtedly the most renowned beach in southern Crete, attracting thousands of visitors each summer.
The setting is dominated by the majestic mountains, the water, the canyon, and at its exit, an oasis, an exotic forest with Theophrastus palm trees.
Visitors can stroll along the river, beneath the palm trees, and begin ascending the stunning canyon, with the chance to swim in the cool ponds formed within the gorge.
Preveli is a protected beach (Natura 2000), so it is not heavily equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy the sparkling waters of the Libyan Sea and the shade of the trees, in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment.
