Beginning at the Big Ben of Mysore—Doddagadiyara, the large clock tower in front of the Mysuru Townhall—participants will walk past the palace gates and proceed to the Devaraja Market, a historic market over a century old where local produce is available.

Not to be missed - We joined Fez’s walking and food evening tour. He told us about Mysore history in an engaging, fun and very knowledgable way with lots of story telling in better English than us. A magical mystery tour of history, flower and vegetable markets before a foodie night out at his favourite haunts. We had some of the best food of our 3 week trip with surprises and stories of the food preparation and culture behind it. Not to be missed. We also asked Fez to be our guide for the next day. He took us to Tippu Sultan’s summer palace, a funeral spot on the river and Mysore Palace. Again, his history and knowledge is second to none and he kept us clinging to every word for four hours. His enthusiasm and story telling is second to none and we learnt so much. His patience, knowledge, personality and professionalism is a delight. We feel so lucky to have found him as our guide. Thank you Fez, you made our time in Mysore so special.

Don't miss this experience until during your visit to Mysore! - We had a great meeting with Mysore through this tour. We learned about the history of India, its customs and customs, not to mention the delicious varied food. Strolling through the market with all the vegetables, herbs and flowers was a real experience. The guide was very approachable, gentle and had a lot of knowledge that he brought with humor.

Highly recommended - The tour with Faizan was an experience! We have been around the market and on the market. Faizan is a very open, friendly and fun guide. He knows an incredible amount about history, culture and religion. This applies not only to India but worldwide. His English is impeccable - and accent-free. We stopped at various stalls to try the vegetarian and super delicious street food. Faizan was carrying water and disinfectant. I could tolerate the food without any problems. Faizan can respond to individual interests and always knows how to tell a story. It's just great to look at a city not just through your own eyes. Thanks for that!!! :)

Mysore Highlight! - This was my highlight of visiting Mysore! Travelling solo I wanted to take a break from using my brain to find all of the good spots, and lucky I did because I would not have gotten to taste and see all that I did if organising myself! Fez is lovely, super knowledgeable (across seemingly everything), funny, and his English is just about better than mine. The time on the tour flew by and he gave me a bunch of recommendations for further exploring. Definitely eat an early lunch (if any); everything was delicious. I had such a great experience and highly recommend to travellers of all kinds!

A wonderful walking tour - not to be missed - If, like us, you love to learn about the history of a city and also share some of its daily activities and unseen places with a knowledgeable, personable and companionable guide then look no further: this is most definitely the Mysuru tour for you. Fez is a brilliantly intelligent and good-humoured guide, with a deep knowledge of the history of the city, its religious practices and its busy streets.
He shares this with a well-judged level of playfulness and interaction as well as deep respect for the city. His pre-tour communication is excellent - and recommendations he suggested for us for further exploration were sent promptly after the tour, with additional prompts about Indian cinema, another passion of his.
The street food element was a joy; believe Fez when he suggests you will not need supper afterwards. We would not have experienced this aspect of the city without him.
We have taken many guided tours over the years, and I am a tour guide in our home city in the UK, this was an example of 'what a good one looks like' in every respect. Perfect length; perfect content and pitched perfectly to engage all the participants. Absolutely recommended.

Fez. A gentleman and a scholar! - I am genuinely gobsmacked as to how good this walking tour was! A first timers to India we thought a bit of local guidance to some area could be nice. We were expecting a quick whistle-stop tour around a few points of interest but what we got was so much more than that. Our tour guide Fez was not only an incredibly personable guy, but was also an encyclopedia of facts. There never felt like there was a dull moment. If you happen to be in Mysore I not only recommend this tour, but I also think it is worth going out of your way to ensure you do not miss it. Highlight of my trip!

If you need another reason to visit Mysore this tour is it. - I almost booked a tour with another company before coming across the multiple positive reviews for Fez. I spoke with Fez prior to booking and was very happy with the experience I had and would definitely recommend it to others.
I’d highly recommend anyone visiting or living in Mysore to do this tour.

Fez was so passionate and knowledgeable about all things Mysore and India, including its history and religions, that I booked a full day tour with him the following day.
You can be assured he’s professional, on time and a very good communicator. Everything ran smoothly and I thoroughly enjoyed both of the travel experiences Fez provided me with.

Best tour ever, thank you Fez! Incredible tour of Mysore history, food, and culture. A must do if you’re in Mysuru!! - Fez’s tour was 10000/10! I would absolutely do it again if I’m ever in Mysore! It really felt like a friend was showing me around his home town. He described Mysore culture and history in a very in-depth and relatable way. As someone from the US who doesn’t know much about Indian culture, it was so wonderful having Fez explain the ins and outs (such as jugaad!!). Truly so pleasant and captivating
I’ve gone on a few other tours while traveling in India and this is the only one that I would truly recommend to anyone! Give this man your money!

Best tour guide ever - Just the most amazing guide tour! We did a tour through the Devaraja market and he thought us so much about the history and culture of Mysuru and India. It truly felt like a friend showing us around, I felt very welcomed. After the tour he gave us a lot of tips on what to visit and movies and books to watch. Very thoughtful. 100% recommend

Fantastic Food(tour) with Faizan - Two of my friends and me booked a private tour with Faizan in October 2024. We had an absolutely great time - Faizan is a great talker and perfectly adapted to the energy of our group. He answered all our (sometimes very niche and in-depth) questions with ample knowledge and humor. But most of all, he showed us Mysore history and culture through his favorite food spots and as a foodie I’m very grateful for that. It was a pleasure to walk through Mysore/Indian history from food stall to food stall with him. We truly recommend booking this tour!
