Must do in Nagano - I had an amazing time on the Izakaya Food Night Tour in Nagano! Our guide, Masa, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the local food scene. We visited some fantastic izakayas, sampling delicious dishes like fresh sashimi and grilled skewers. Masa shared the cultural significance of each dish, which made the experience even more memorable. He made sure we were comfortable and engaged throughout the tour, and his recommendations were spot on. If you're in Nagano, I highly recommend this tour for a fun and authentic food experience! You will not go back to your hotel hungry.

A day to remember - We had a beautiful evening with an introduction to Japanese culinary culture. In addition to the delicious food, we also had the opportunity to taste some of the drinks specific to Japan. The group was small, which allowed us to have a much more open communication and also created a pleasant atmosphere, and the guide's answers to our questions made us understand Japanese culture better. Thank you once again for the beautiful evening.

Eat like a local - Great way to visit restaurants you wouldn’t otherwise know about, and try a variety of local food. Reasonable cost considering the amount of food and some drinks included. Tour guide friendly and informative

Taste of Japan - Visited 3 different food establishments and got a real taste of Japan with plenty of food and good company. Our guide also had wonderful knowledge of Nagano and this tour is a must do when visiting the city

Amazing Food Experience in Nagano - A very personalised tour led by Masa who gave us many insights to the culture and food of Nagano. He took us to local food places that we would have missed and the variety of food was delicious. Highly recommend this tour!

Great experience with a local - We did the tour with Masa as our guide and had a great experience! He showed us some great local places you normally wouldn’t visit as a tourist and were generally nice to chat with. Strongly recommend!

Excellent tour! - Robin, our tour guide was fantastic. He took us to 3 different izakaya all with different local flares. Robin was as extremely knowledgable about the area and the Japanese customs, having lived in Japan for a number of years. I think it was especially helpful that he was able to give some tidbits about Japanese society from the foreigners point of view. I was stuffed by the end of our 3+ hour food tour. I highly recommend it!

Good times and good food! - Great time with Robin. Enjoyed exploring other parts of Nagano that we wouldn’t normally had visited. Yummy soba noodles, sushi, and gyozas at 3 different restaurants.

Izakaya Food Tour - Masa was an excellent tour guide. He brought us to three delicious, hole in the wall restaurants that cater mostly to locals. It was a filling, fun and informative experience!

Good food tour - This was a good food experience, but not great. My husband is a vegetarian, but does eat meat and dairy. Our first spot was perfect, seafood and fun spot. The next 2 dining spots did not have great veggie or seafood options. We loved talking to our guide, learning about Nagano and exploring some areas we would have not seen on our own. We just thought for the price the food could have been a little better.
