Takayama and Shirokawago - Beautiful places to visit with unique local foods (Hida Beef sushi at Takayama and award winning Shirokawago, Purin no le)and mascots (Sarubobo). Anticipate line ups! Be sure to wear appropriate hiking wear should you come in the winter as grounds can be slippery.

must go... - its a must trip to japan. the "tour guide" gave us some pointers where to go and pretty much clear instructions. there was an open market when we had the tour even though a lot of shops were close maybe because it was winter and nearing the new year...was good though because at least, less tourist like us. still quite a number even at this time of the year. the lunch was ok.the shikawago tour wa also ok though we were hoping for snow 🫠 time to walk around was enough...

Such a great tour - Our tour guide was Liu and he was very informative. The tour was great, we couldn't have done it better by public transport. The coach was comfy, everyone was on-time at every stop. Takayama was so pretty and it was snowing hard. Great shopping there. Would've liked a bit longer there. We chose the Kobe beef lunch and it was excellent. A little bit rushed at lunch. Then to Shirakawago for a walk around. Super pretty and cute shops. Plenty of toilet stops on this tour. Well worth the money. Thank you for showing us a part of Japan we would never have seen. Well done to the driver and thank you again for the greatest tour guide.

Back in time but still alive - The trip is well organized and efficient. 2 hour drive with a break half way there was great. The descriptions our guide provided were very accurate. Takayama brought you back in time by 60 years, if you like beef, this the place for you, bring yen. The lunch was excellent. In Shirakawa we were met with heavy snowfall, at times, almost white out conditions. The structures moved you back centuries but still functioning, something to see.

A good day out. - Ive never been to Japan before. Apart from poor weather it was a good day out, ideal excursion if you are short on time in Nagoya. Even though there is the link in description, make sure you give yourself time to find the meeting point, navigating to the crowds and the train station can be overwhelming, especially when Google maps isn't quite accurate all the time!

Shirakawago & Takayama Bus Tour - The tour started promptly on time. Our English guide Bara-San was knowledgeable about the trip and gave us tips on which areas to visit. Lunch was wonderful. I would recommend this tour to travellers.

Nice visit - Nice visit, well organized but not very pragmatic for a solo traveler. You are less considered than the others... you are wedged on a piece of the table to favor groups.

Shirakawago & Takayama - Bara-san , our tour guide was great. He was punctual, kind and informative. The lunch was delicious. The weather unfortunately did not cooperate much, was very rainy. Overall was a good experience.

This is an unethical tour operator providing inaccurate tour description and failed to deliver their front seat promise - When you see the tour description on Viator that says: “ the tou/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers”, do you interpret it as this tour is a small group tour that eill have a max of 15- participants? Instead, the Tour operator provided me with their explanation the maximum number of participants allowed per individual booking, not the total number of travelers on the bus. This Tour operator also failed to accommodate my family’s front row seating request due to health reasons. I had all the chat history with their confirmation on accepting our front row seating request due to my family members health situation, but when my family arrives at the meeting point on the date of the tour, we were so surprised that this is not a small group tour describe on Villa’s website and we were assigned on the 6th row in this 50-person bus that has 12 row seating capacity. So my family was stuck in this Non small group tour with bouncy middle row seat team with my 74-year-old mother and 13-year-old child that has severe motion sickness problem. This is not a tour operator that can be trusted nor respected for sure. Below is their official response to their website description, but they fill to mention the full sentence on their full tour description which was “ This tour/activity has a maximum of 15 travelers “ . Below was their official response: The “maximum 15 travelers” refers to the maximum number of participants allowed per individual booking, not the total number of travelers on the bus. This is a shared tour, and the total number of guests depends on overall participation for the day. On busier days, a larger vehicle may be used, which can accommodate up to 49 travelers.
