• Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology - Established in June 1994, 100 years after the birth of Toyota Motor’s founder, Toyoda Kiichiro, the museum will celebrate its 30th anniversary in June 2024. The museum aims to address new challenges in an uncertain world, such as those posed by the COVID pandemic, while honoring its origins. It serves as a place to learn about the history of manufacturing (“monozukuri”) and aims to contribute to the development of a sustainable society.

• Osu Shopping Street - Once Nagoya’s premier entertainment district, Osu is now a bustling area with extensive shopping arcades. • sky-promenade - Midland Square, named after the Chubu region, stands 247 meters tall with 47 floors above ground and six basement levels. Located just outside JR Nagoya Station, it is the tallest building in the Chubu region and the seventh tallest in Japan (as of 2015).

• Shikemichi - Shikemichi is a historic merchant town on the west bank of the Horikawa River, established in 1610 during the construction of Nagoya Castle. The town’s name, meaning a 7-meter-wide street, reflects its expansion for fire protection and commercial activities after a fire in 1700. The area, with its stone-walled storehouses and traditional townhouses, was designated a townscape preservation area in 1986.

• Wakamiya Hachimansha Shrine - Dedicated to Emperor Nintoku, Emperor Ojin, and the legendary Takeuchinosukune, Wakamiya Hachimansha Shrine was designated by Tokugawa Ieyasu as Nagoya’s main tutelary deity in 1610.
