Nagano to Takayama and Shirakawa-go private tour - We did the Nagano to Takayama and Shirakawa-go private tour with our family, 4 families in total. The bus was very clean and comfortable. Kim, our guide, was cheerful, funny and very knowledgeable about Japanese history and the areas we drove past and visited. She answered our questions patiently, even the curly ones from the kids! She gave great recommendations on places to eat that were delicious and cheaper than others places. We had sufficient time for toilet stops and stretch breaks, and time to eat lunch and look at some souvenir shops. We ended our tour at Kanazawa. Umematsu-San, our driver, was very kind to drop us off close to both of our accommodations, as they couldn't be easily accessed by bus. It was a wonderful and enjoyable experience!

Excellent short version of the Nakasendo Way - Mir was a very knowledgeable and friendly young guide. Excellent section of the Way to visit. Only negative was the distance to drive from Nagoya, which took 90 minutes each way. But the driver was very professional and the scenery was beautiful.

Such an amazing way to experience Kiso Valley. - I booked this trip and then was unfortunately able to partake in the hike due to an ankle injury. Instead of having to cancel, I was thoughtfully offered more time at the postal towns and then to accompany the driver between stops so I didn't need to hike and could still experience the stops along the way. Our tour guide Kim was fantastic and our driver was so helpful, which was extra appreciated due to my injury. This was a highlight of our Japan trip and would 100% recommend.

Made it more than just a hike - This trail is incredible, the waterfalls were my favorite part. Even the drive up in the mountains was smooth and safe with our driver Orlando. Our guide, Mir, explained their symbolism/lore too. The preserved towns were also beautiful. There was so much history of parts of the town that I would’ve just walked right by if I didn’t book this trip!
