Nagymaros - Start your day in Budapest, where your guide will pick you up in an air-conditioned van and your adventure will begin. First, stop at a romantic little town in the Danube Bend called Nagymaros. Climb up to the scenic Julianus Lookout Tower, where you can admire the stunning panoramic view of the river. Look for traces of animals, learn about the tree species that inhabit the mountain, and ask your guide any questions you might have about Hungary.
Enjoy a 5-mile hike in the calm and green forest before arriving at the riverside. After a short lesson about safety, technique, and rules on the river, jump into your canoe or kayak and glide down the lovely and calm Danube River.
Admire the beautiful mountains and see the famous Visegrád Castle from the river. If the weather is nice, stop at a nice, sandy beach and take a refreshing dip in the water. Finish your day with a beer or a refreshing soft drink at a hippie bar on the river bank before returning to Budapest

Strongly recommend - an experience not to be missed - Absolutely unforgettable and amazing! This experience was everything we hoped for and more — the perfect escape from the buzz of the city into the calm and beauty of Budapest’s nature. 🌿 It felt like stepping into a hidden gem where you can truly unwind. We couldn’t recommend it enough — a must for anyone looking for something special!

great day out - We had the best time on this trip, a perfect mix of gentle hiking, peaceful kayaking, and great company. The views were stunning, and being out on the water was such a refreshing way to explore the Danube Bend.
Our guide was warm, relaxed, and really knew the area , we felt in safe hands the whole way. It was active with lots of stops for amazing views snacks and swims and a lovely way to spend time together doing something different.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a day out in nature with a bit of adventure!

Best day of our trip! - What a fabulous day! The highlight of our trip to Hungary. Gyorgy and Nikki were the best guides and hosts. Friendly, interesting, knowledgeable, professional! Every aspect was first rate. I strongly recommend.

If you like nature, an Outdoor Adventures Hungary trip is not to be missed! - I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone visiting Budapest! George was super helpful during the booking process and Laci was a great guide - he was knowledgeable about the area and made the day memorable.
I booked this trip solo and it was a great way to meet other travellers. It was a good way to see more of the country. The hike was steep in parts but the views were stunning. It was also nice to see the area for the canoe. We also stopped on the way for a swim which was perfect on a hot summer's day.

Peaceful paddling - Gergő took us on a very peaceful kayak trip on the Danube, he was very knowledgeable about Hungary's history and we had great conversation. He helped, provided guidance and even recommendations of other locations to visit as if we had known him for years.
I cannot recommend it enough if you want to have a bit of quiet time away from the city center.
