Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve - A representative from the company will greet you at the airport or your hotel in Nairobi to begin your safari journey to Samburu National Reserve, located in Samburu County within Kenya’s Rift Valley. This reserve is celebrated for its unique northern species such as Grevy’s Zebras, Somali Ostriches, Reticulated Giraffes, Gerenuks, and Beisa Oryx. Additionally, it is home to the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalo, and elephants. You will arrive in time for lunch.

On the first day, after settling into your accommodation, enjoy an evening game drive starting at 16:00. Afterward, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day Samburu National Reserve

Samburu National Reserve - On the second day, choose between a half-day or morning and afternoon game drives. The morning drive begins early, before sunrise at 6:00 am, followed by breakfast. The evening drive starts at 16:00, offering a magical experience as the sun sets, casting a beautiful silhouette against the dimming African sky.

During the mid-morning, you can opt for nature walks at an additional cost. The park is famous for its over 350 bird species, or you can simply relax and enjoy the birds’ melodies. Dinner and overnight stay at Ashnil Camp.

Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta Conservancy - After breakfast, travel to Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Nanyuki, Laikipia County. Ol Pejeta is one of Kenya’s premier wildlife conservancies, teeming with a vast array of animals.

After checking into your accommodation and having lunch, embark on an afternoon safari starting at 15:30. Visit the endangered Chimpanzee enclosure and meet Baraka, the blind Rhino, among other residents of this remarkable conservancy. Return to your accommodation as the sun sets. Dinner and overnight stay at Sweet Waters Serena Camp.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha - After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha, named from the Maasai word Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” due to sudden storms. Lake Naivasha is home to over 385 bird species and large hippo families.

Upon arrival, check into your accommodation, have lunch, relax, and then enjoy an afternoon exploration of this stunning freshwater lake on a boat safari. Disembark at the shores for a walking safari on Crescent Island, an animal sanctuary amidst giraffes, Thompson gazelles, wildebeests, and impalas, as the sun sets over the African horizon. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at Sawela Lodge.

Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve - Travel southwest to the expansive plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve, passing through the Suswa plains with a brief stop in the Maasai town of Narok. Continue to the Mara’s interior plains, arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. The Mara is Kenya’s most famous game reserve, known for its extraordinary animal density, including the Big Five and various plains game. The 270 km long Mara River traverses the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, providing a spectacle during the annual migration and sustaining the two game reserves as it flows into Lake Victoria. The highlight of this safari is the instinct-driven migration of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara.

After checking into your accommodation in time for lunch, embark on an afternoon safari until 18:30, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Saruni Base Camp Masai Mara.

Full Day Masai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve - Depending on wildlife migration patterns, sightings, and weather conditions, the second day in the Mara will be spent exploring the vast grassland savannas with options for half-day or morning and afternoon game drives, tailored to your preference.

Hot air balloon rides and visits to traditional Maasai communities for a cultural experience can be arranged at an additional cost. Dinner and overnight stay at Saruni Basecamp Maasai Mara.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

Nairobi - Enjoy a sunrise breakfast followed by a meal at the lodge before driving back to Nairobi through the Loita plains and the Great Rift Valley, arriving in Nairobi by early afternoon.
