Once-in-a-lifetime experience - Our trip to Kenya was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the breathtaking landscapes to the incredible wildlife sightings, every single day exceeded our expectations. Seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, and so many other animals in their natural habitat was both exciting and deeply moving. The beauty of the savannah at sunrise and sunset is something we will never forget. What made this journey even more special was our guide, Chris. He was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about wildlife and his country. His sharp eyes helped us spot animals we would have completely missed on our own, and he always made sure we were comfortable and safe. Chris shared fascinating insights about the animals, local culture, and conservation efforts, which made the entire experience much more meaningful. We felt very well taken care of throughout the trip, and everything was smooth and well organized. If you are planning a safari in Kenya, we highly recommend asking for Chris as your guide — he truly made our adventure unforgettable. Thank you, Chris, for giving us such an amazing and heartwarming experience in Kenya!

Amazing experience! - Everything around our trip was fantastic! Milcah was very quickly responding to all our questions during the booking process. Once we arrived in Kenya we did not have to worry about anything, as everything was perfectly organized. If you can choose the driver, ask for Anthony- wonderful guy who really took care during our 7 days safari.

Amazing last minute safari trip! - We did a 7 day trip to amboselli, sand river and the Maasai mara. All the guides were great (really explaining about the nature and animals) and there was a lot of flexibility in choosing what time to go on safari. We also booked everything very last minute and they were extremely quick to accommodate and answer all our questions on such short notice! We had a fantastic experience

The great wildebeest migration - We booked with native Afrika voyages after careful consideration and they did not fail us. Serah was our point of contact and she was always quick to respond and offer solutions to our queries. I was very delighted to meet her in person at jomo kenyata airport. The guide was Leonardo and he was bang on time everyday. He made sure we saw the river crossings of wildebeest which was a dream come true. We specially loved the picnic breakfast. We even did a day tour of nairobi city which serah organized. David was also there for any further assistance.

Best Safari Experience - We had a great 6N stay at Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. From start to finish the whole experience was unreal. Mika on WhatsApp was very responsive and planned every detail of the trip was brilliant. Then our guide Dennis was the best we could get. We saw all the big 5 animals and early on in the trip then the wildebeest migration. Dennis was first to every spot and didn’t go to overcrowded places. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Native Afrika Voyages.

The best travel agent/planner in Kenya. - My husband and I just completed today our 8-days safari; from Nairobi to lake Nakuru to Masaimara to Ambosili national parks. This was a life time amazing trip. We could not have done with the help of Native Africa. They helped me plan this trip at the highest professional level. More, they are super friendly and accommodating to any change I requested. I can’t thank enough Maureen, Cyrus and Steven for all what they did to make our trip incredible.

Big Five, Bigger Memories. Amazing Guide, Mixed Stays and with a Few Missed Details - 6N/7D Kenya Safari Review with Native Afrika Voyages We recently completed a 6 nights, 7 days safari across Amboseli National Park, Hell’s Gate, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara in that order. We booked through Native Afrika Voyages, paying 20% advance two weeks before the trip and the remaining 80% at the start of the safari. Arrival & Start of Journey On arrival in Nairobi, we were picked up by the hotel shuttle and stayed overnight at Argyle Grand, which is very close to the airport. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the food was excellent. The next morning, the Native Afrika Voyages coordinator came to the hotel, re-briefed us on the itinerary, collected the remaining payment, and introduced us to our driver and guide, Christopher, who stayed with us throughout the journey. From there, our safari began. Highlights of the Trip 1. Christopher – Our Driver & Guide He was truly the heart of our experience. Friendly, respectful, and professional at all times. He never crossed personal boundaries and treated us like valued guests throughout the journey. He was knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and answered every question patiently. Each evening, he checked if we had any concerns with the hotel and tried to resolve them. Every morning, he greeted us with a smile and advised the best time to start for optimal sightings and photography. He consistently went the extra mile. If you are booking with NAV, do ask if Christopher is available. 2. Packed Lunch Arrangements This was one of the best parts of the safari. We did not have to return to the hotel midday or worry about meals. Lunch was arranged through the hotels, but Christopher ensured it was ready on time every morning, neatly packed and stored for the day. 3. Sundowner Experience We were treated to a lovely sundowner with light drinks during sunset, surrounded by beautiful mountain views. A memorable touch. 4. Complimentary Giraffe Center Visit A nice value addition and a pleasant stop. 5. Masai Village Visit A good cultural experience and worth doing at least once. 6. Drinking Water Packaged drinking water was provided generously with no restrictions, which was very reassuring during long drives. 7. 4x4 Land Cruiser The vehicle was spacious. It was just the two of us, so we had plenty of room to move around and capture photos comfortably. Hotels We Stayed At 1. Amboseli Sopa Lodge Great food, forest-like ambience, and packaged drinking water provided. Bathrooms were a bit congested, but the overall stay was comfortable. Their lunch packing was exceptional and covered multiple cuisines. 2. Ziwa Bush Lodge, Nakuru An unfortunate experience. The menu was very limited and à la carte based, with average taste. Washrooms and drainage felt unhygienic, and there was no packaged drinking water. We would not recommend this stay. 3. Zebra Plains, Masai Mara The rooms are tent-style and give a very close-to-nature experience. The staff were warm and welcoming. The buffet had limited options but tasted good. Internet connectivity was weak, and rooms are quite far from reception and common areas. Walking is the only option. We were at Room 12, which was a 6 to 8 minute walk. A buggy service or intercom would have helped. There was no hot water consistently, and in-room coffee making was not available. However, they arranged a beautifully decorated bed on arrival and a special table setup for our last dinner, which was a lovely gesture. Lowlights of the Trip 1. Itinerary Planning Two game drives in Amboseli felt repetitive and could easily be done in a single day. That extra day would have been better spent in Masai Mara, where there is much more to see and explore. 2. Coordinator Communication Communication from the coordinator, Mary, was not very reliable. On arrival in Nairobi at 10 PM, there was no proper guidance, and she was not reachable. 3. Support During Issues When we tried to raise concerns about Ziwa Bush Lodge, she was again unavailable and only sent an apology message after we had already checked out. 4. Lack of Proactive Updates There was no response when we asked about details of the next destination hotel. This did not feel like strong customer support. Overall Experience Despite some coordination and accommodation issues, the trip itself was memorable, largely because of our guide Christopher and the incredible wildlife experiences across Kenya. The landscapes, sightings, and thoughtful touches like packed lunches and the sundowner made the journey special. With better planning and stronger on-ground communication from the coordination team, this could have been a near-perfect experience.
