Tarangire National Park - Day 1: Arrival Day (Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport) - Tarangire National Park
In the morning, guests will be collected from their hotel and travel to Tarangire National Park. This park, known for its massive baobab trees, the perennial Tarangire River, and seasonal swamps, hosts the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Wildlife gathers at the river, offering sightings of elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs, and reedbucks throughout the year. Additionally, the park is home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests, often accompanied by predators like lions. Leopards are occasionally seen, while cheetahs are rare. From the vehicle’s open roof, visitors can enjoy the landscape and observe the animals. After an extensive game drive, guests will exit the park in the late afternoon and proceed to Ngare Lodge for an overnight stay. After an early start, guests will head to the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro highlands. The Ngorongoro Crater, nearly 600 meters deep and about 20 kilometers wide, is home to a remarkable variety of animals. During the game drive, there is a chance to see a range of mammals, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard), as well as Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and mountain reedbucks. Spotted hyenas and over 500 bird species may also be observed. After a picnic lunch in the crater and further game viewing, guests will leave the crater in the afternoon and travel to Karatu for an overnight stay at the Octagon Lodge.
- Serengeti National Park - Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park
Following breakfast, guests will be transferred to the renowned Serengeti National Park. This park is to Tanzania what the Masai Mara National Reserve is to Kenya. A game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park will be conducted. The Serengeti is considered Tanzania’s premier park. Large herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, and many antelope species, such as eland, Topi, kongoni, and impala, are present year-round. All three big cats are easily spotted. Lions are often seen on a kill, cheetahs are common on the southeastern plains, and leopards can typically be found lounging in the large trees along the Seronera River. - Serengeti National Park - Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Today, guests will embark on a full-day game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park. This park is to Tanzania what the Masai Mara Game Reserve is to Kenya. Covering 14,763 sq km, Serengeti NP is characterized by vast, open plains teeming with wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided en route, and the afternoon will be spent viewing game and taking in the breathtaking scenery of the nearly treeless plains of the Serengeti. Check-out is around 3:00 PM, followed by a transfer to Arusha for an overnight stay at Malkia Trees Lodge.
- Amboseli National Park - Day 5: Arusha City - Namanga - Amboseli National Park
Guests will depart for Amboseli via the Namanga Border in the morning after breakfast. After immigration clearance at the Tanzania-Kenya border, they will drive south through Maasai country to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro, where Amboseli is located. Amboseli is renowned for its majestic elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania. After a picnic lunch en route, guests can enjoy spectacular wildlife displays, including lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, buffalo, and various plains game. - Amboseli National Park - Day 6: Amboseli National Park
An early morning wake-up with breakfast ready. Today, guests will have a packed lunch for a full-day game drive. They will continue with more game drives in the park, with a packed lunch, in search of its popular residents, including well-known predators and their prey, such as zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes. Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s best-known wildlife destinations, primarily for excellent elephant sightings in the large marshy area and the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro (Observation Hill offers the best vistas). - Lake Elementaita - Day 7: Amboseli National Park - Lake Elementaita (Soda Lake)
Guests will wake up for a morning breakfast and then depart for Lake Elementaita National Park. Upon arrival, they will receive a welcome drink and be shown to their room. After lunch, they can take a late afternoon guided leisure walk along the bird-rich lake. Lake Elementaita is a soda lake in the Great Rift Valley, about 120 km northwest of Nairobi, Kenya. The salt lake is known for its rich avifauna, including large concentrations of Greater and Lesser flamingos. The day ends at the hot spring for a relaxing dip. - Lake Nakuru National Park - Day 8: Lake Elementaita (Soda Lake) - Lake Nakuru National Park
After a restful sleep, guests will wake up for a morning breakfast and then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s best national parks, known for its Rift Valley soda lakes. Upon arrival, they will be welcomed and shown to their room. After lunch, a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park will be conducted, which is renowned as a bird lover’s paradise due to the numerous birds that inhabit the park. Lake Nakuru Kenya Park is home to over 400 bird species, including flamingos that reside on the lake and in the park’s savannah grasslands. Bird species include, but are not limited to, African Fish Eagle, Slender-billed Greenbul, Long-tailed Widowbird, Rufous-throated Wryneck, Montane White-eye, Red-capped Lark, Northern Puffback, Rüppell’s Robin-chat, Shining Sunbird, and many more. - Maasai Mara National Reserve - Day 9: Lake Nakuru National Park - Maasai Mara National Reserve
In the morning, after breakfast, guests will check out of the hotel. They will drive through the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the Mara National Reserve. The Mara National Reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains, famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino. The border intercounty borders are what separate the two great national parks. Guests will arrive for lunch at the lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara National Reserve thrills within the Mara Ecosystem, which includes the Mara Triangle and other conservancies like Ol Chorro Oirowua, Ol Derkesi, Lemek, Maji Moto, Siana, Olkinyei, Naikara, Koiyaki, and North Mara. On the second day, guests will wake up and have their morning breakfast ready to be served. Today, they will enjoy a full-day game drive in the reserve, with a picnic lunch. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The Mara Triangle, bordering the Mara River with lush grassland and acacia woodlands, is always good for game drives. The Mara is perhaps best known for the Great Migration, which occurs every year from July to September. During these months, the yellow savannah is dotted black by more than 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes that migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of food and water. Nairobi - Day 11: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi City, JKIA, Hotel
Guests will have their morning breakfast around eight in the morning, with ample time to pack. Their guide/driver will pick them up. They will conclude their time in Maasai Mara with an early drive back to Nairobi, where the tour will end either at the hotel or back at the airport.
