Originally a cattle ranch, you can still see wildlife and cattle grazing together in some areas. The conservancy is located on the equator, high on a plateau, between the Aberdares range and Mount Kenya. It hosts a wide variety of animals, including the ‘big five’, and many bird species. On a clear morning, you may enjoy panoramic views of Mt Kenya and its snow-capped peaks. The conservancy features diverse habitats including thick scrub, marshlands, rivers, and open plains. Ol Pejeta is dedicated to conservation and has several projects to protect endangered species, including white and black rhinos. It also houses a Jane Goodall chimpanzee sanctuary for primates rescued from abusive or captive situations. Unique experiences such as night game drives and lion tracking can be added to your safari (booked locally).

Transfer to the Green Crater Lake, taking you out of Naivasha along a rough and bumpy road by the edge of Lake Naivasha, passing large greenhouses where roses and other flowers are grown for export.
Arrive at the Green Crater Lake around 8:00 am and begin your morning game walk. The green crater lake was formed by volcanic activity. The group will walk in a reserve where it is possible to get close to giraffes and many varieties of antelope, offering great photo opportunities. Guides will answer questions about the animals, birdlife, and point out rocks formed due to volcanic activity.
