A safari briefing session with the tour officer will take place before embarking on a 5-day safari, starting at the hotel at 8:00 AM. The journey proceeds to the Mt. Kenya region, with a full afternoon visit to Sweetwater’s Conservancy. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Sweetwater’s Comfort Hotel. Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary in Kenya dedicated to the rehabilitation of chimpanzees, with two groups living in an environment that closely resembles their natural habitat. The site is also a dedicated breeding area for black rhinos.
Mount Kenya - Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru - After breakfast, the journey continues to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for a pre-lunch game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to giraffes, waterbucks, black and white rhinos, buffalo, lions, and leopards, among other wildlife. Thousands of flamingos feed on the algae along the lake’s shores. Lunch will be at the Lake Nakuru Lodge, Buraha Zenoni Resort, or a similar venue. An afternoon game drive around Lake Nakuru and the nearby forest will follow. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast at the lodge, depart for the renowned Maasai Mara game reserve, traveling through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge or a similar lodge, located in the heart of the Maasai Mara National Park, where game viewing and bird watching are always possible. An afternoon game drive in the park offers the chance to see “the big five,” numerous bird species, and some of the world’s best savannah vegetation. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the camp.
Full Day Masai Mara Game Drive
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Enjoy a full day of game driving in the reserve and explore the park. There is an opportunity to witness the only park among the wonders of the world due to the wildebeest migration at the Mara River. Have a fantastic time on the game drive. A visit to the Maasai village is also possible, where their way of life and lifestyle can be observed at an additional cost (USD 20 per person). Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the camp.
