Begin the journey from Nairobi in the morning, heading north towards the semi-arid bushlands of Samburu. Along the way, pass by expansive pineapple plantations, the fertile highlands of Kenya, and cross the Equator. Samburu, located in Kenya’s northern frontier, is renowned for its majestic and rugged landscapes. Arrive at the Samburu Intrepid Camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in this park, celebrated for its unique species. The Ewaso Nyiro River, also known as the “river of brown waters,” sustains the wildlife by providing essential water to the area. Rare species such as the reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and Beisa oryx can be spotted here. Additionally, big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards are present. The sunsets in Samburu are breathtaking, offering a stunning backdrop. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
