- Sheldrick Wildlife Trust - The next stop will be elephant orphanage which is only open from 11AM – 12Noon. Here you will learn more about the baby elephants and what led them to be orphans. You will get more information on raising them and the efforts being made to re-introduce them back to the wilderness
- Learn to Make Jewelry&Pottery frm clay - Kazuri Beads Factory - Kazuri/KOBE TOUGH beads & leather The next stop visit Kazuri Bead Factory/Kobe Beads Factory. This is a pottery company that makes one of the world most beautiful beads. You will be shown all the stages from the start to the finish. It’s also a unique factory as it employs single mother parents from the poor neighborhood who earn a living to support their families. This pottery, ceramic and bead factory employs all single mothers to make its beautiful gifts and souvenirs - which are now exported all around the world. There is a gift shop which stocks some of their wares. Please note that the workshop is closed Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, however the gift shop is open 7 day

Day trip to Giraffe Centre, Sheldrick Centre and Bead Factory - Great experience. After some trepidation of booking with Grace Patt after reading on the Shekdrick Wildlife Trust website that you should book direct with them my fears were totally relieved. Steven from Grace Patt picked us up from our hotel and the day was wonderful. He took photos of us with the giraffes using our cameras and phones that we wouldn't have had otherwise. He helped us to have a perfect vantage point for seeing the elephants. Its quite chaotic to enter and Steven made it seamless. We could not be more pleased with his services as a guide. I would not hesitate to recommend Grace Patt as a company for the day trip to see the Giraffe Centre and Sheldrick and the Bead Factory. There was no pressure at the bead factory to buy and it was an interesting experience. Beautiful people. Thank you Grace Patt and full thanks to Steven our guide.

Amazing Day Trip to Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center - Our driver John was fabulous! He was punctual, attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. With amazing tours, the day couldn’t have been better! Our driver turned us over to our tour guides smoothly, and he picked great cafes, restaurants and shops for us to visit. Both the David Sheldrick Foundation and Giraffe Center were well managed, super informal, and welcoming. I’d do this day again in a heart beat!

What could be cuter than a herd of baby elephants? - A really fun adventure. It’s so great to see the line of baby elephants running for their gigantic bottles! Then the slightly older group arrives. Get there early for the best viewing position but since they limit numbers, there are really no bad spots. We loved it and we especially loved knowing that our money will rescue more babies. We had an extra treat with a very tiny rhinoceros, but I’m not sure you can count on that.

Great for solo travelers - I’m a solo traveler with limited mobility. Sometimes it’s hard to find the right tour that will accept you. This one did. My driver was Stephen Mutuku and I couldn’t have been more pleased with his services. He made sure I got the best spot for elephant photos and even took photos for me. Great memories and thank you so much.

The perfect combination of activities! - I went on this tour solo and met such a lovely group, that felt like friends. Stephen our driver and tour guide was amazing! Stephen was kind, knowledgeable, helpful, fun and took the best pictures of me while at the Giraffe Center. He also took us on a lunch stop at Utamaduni which was delicious. I really enjoyed this trip and can’t thank Stephen enough. All of the tours were very informative and I left feeling more aware and appreciative of all of the hard work in conservation efforts taking place in Kenya. The elephant orphanage and Girafe center were both educational and exciting. I also enjoyed seeing the ladies at the Kobe Tough Bead center, singing and making stunning handcrafted beads, accessories and clay sculptures.

Amazing day! - Our day started by visiting the Giraffe Centre, feeding the giraffes and receiving an educational talk about the work they do.
We then travelled to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where we got to see the baby rhino and elephants and learned about their stories.
We finished up by visiting the Kobe Tough Beads and Leather factory which was fascinating to see the great work the women do there.
This is such a great trip and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Nairobi. Our guide, Stephen, was fantastic and looked after us really well and got us a great spot at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see the Rhino and Elephants.
The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was the standout moment in the trip, seeing the work they do is heartwarming and brings some hope for humanity.

A must see!! - We had the pleasure of spending the day with Joe. An absolute star, he made an amazing day extra special. I hope our paths will cross again some day!! This tour is amazing, to be able to get so up and close with these beautiful animals was brilliant. The bead centre was also amazing, so many lovely ladies working there. It was great to see how they make their wares and they even gave us a lovely song and dance at the end. A great day out!!

Nairobi wildlife - Our guide, Stephan, was outstanding. Loved both sanctuaries. Where he took us for lunch was beautiful and delicious.
