Samburu National Reserve - Begin the journey to Samburu National Park. Its remote location makes Samburu a favored destination for tourists seeking a serene safari experience with fewer game vehicles. Despite this, it is the second most visited reserve after the Masai Mara. The Samburu people reside on the outskirts in rural villages, living primarily off the land. These villages offer significant cultural interest, and visitors have the chance to explore them as part of day-trip activities.
This is one of the two reserves where researchers and conservationists, Joy and George Adamson, gained fame for raising the lioness Elsa, a story depicted in the renowned book, Born Free. Arrival is in the afternoon, followed by an exciting late evening game drive.
Samburu National Park full day
