This safari offers an opportunity to explore Kenya’s stunning landscapes, featuring views of Mt. Kenya and a rich variety of wildlife. Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 90,000-acre sanctuary, is nestled between the Aberdare Mountains and Mount Kenya. It is part of the southern Laikipia wilderness and is home to the Big 5 – lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard, and both the endangered black and white rhino, along with the threatened Jackson’s hartebeests and Grevy’s zebras.
The Samburu Reserve is characterized by its sun-baked brown earth and dry vegetation, with the Ewaso N’giro River providing a permanent green oasis, surrounded by tamarinds, doum palms, and acacia trees offering shade from the intense sun. Elephants, buffalo, and waterbuck are common in the woodlands, while impala herds graze beneath the trees. Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk are also present. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs are never far away, and above, martial eagles, bateleurs, and pygmy falcons patrol the skies.
