Perfect inroduction to Nairobi and Kenyan cooking - Amazing experience on our first day in Nairobi which taught us a lot about Kenyan food and culinary traditions as well as a chance to get acclimatised to this vibran city. The market tour to pick up produce was great, the matatu rides a lot of fun, Nimoh's kitchen was beautifully set up for cooking and the traditional lunch we enjoyed with our group was delicious. Afterwards we were lucky enough for Nimoh to show us the textiles market in downtown Nairobi which was an adventure in itself. I recommend this experience highly!

A proper hands-on cookery class from start to finish. - Shopping for fresh ingredients in the market was just the start of a truly educational experience. We were involved in every step of the cooking from shelling beans to mashing potatoes and along the way learning about grass roots Kenyan culture. Nimoh made us feel very welcome in her home and in her country and the food we helped produce was delicious. I can't recommend this class highly enough, the best cookery class we've done.

Very real and authentic experience - Great experience! Except for initial inability to identify our host. ( No signage or identifying clothes). Travel by local bus to an outdoor market and butcher. Followed by walk to local residence to prepare and assist with cooking native Kenyan dishes. Afternoon lunch with our host and fellowship with tour guests.

Exceptional culinary experience - We had the full experience from shopping in the open market to eating the authentic dishes! This included using the local transportation with the chef and cooking in her home. The food was soooo good!

A MUST do experience! - Amazing!!! A must do friendly, informative and professional cultural experience! The communication was wonderful before and during the entire evening. We started off with a local bus ride (which we didn’t expect) and loved it. The hustle and bustle was exciting and the bus system was crazy, however we felt very comfortable following the lead of our guide, Nemoh. Next was the markets filled with wonderful produce, friendly faces and a Webb of alleys we would never have made it out of on our own. Great experience. Cooking was great as we all sat around the table helping, chatting and discussing cultural differences and embracing the opportunity to experience Kenya this way first hand! Highly recommend this tour as a wonderful way to have your dinner plans for the evening.

Best time cooking and shopping! - What a fabulous experience! We met Nimoh at the outdoor market. Wear comfortable shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. We shopped and learned about Nairobi then took a transport to her home. We cooked together and got exposed to local customs. Nimoh is fun, friendly and a good cook! Her home is welcoming and we had such fun. Highly recommend this experience.

The best way to experience Nairobi and its food - Just the most amazing experience. We went to a local market to buy our food - everyone was super friendly- we then did a tour of the local area on a bus - getting an authentic experience on a form of transportation that Kenyans use every day. We then got a view of the city on the hosts roof where she explained the different areas we could see. We then got down to the food prep and cooking which was fun and informative (lots of new chopping techniques learnt) finally the meal and Dawa were served and what a beautiful meal it was. Truly the best way to experience Nairobi.

Nimoh was excellent! She... - Nimoh was excellent! She showed us Nairobi's public transit, local market and butcher, and invited us into her home to cook a lovely meal. The whole experience lasted about 5 hours because of traffic in the evening, so we recommend eating beforehand.
