Favorite experience in Kenya - My husband and I wanted to have a very authentic experience while visiting Nairobi. What better way than to opt for a cooking class with Wairimu. She was very kind and sweet as she showed us around at the local market, educated us on the produce and foods, and facilitated us as we created the most delicious Kenyan traditional meal Mukimo with a nice avocado pico de gallo. Our hearts (and belly’s) were so full from the experience! Can’t wait to come back and experience this again. It’s a must!

Tours that offer valuable experiences - We rode a colorful bus used by a commoner named Mattou, shopped for food at a local market and cooked four Kenyan dishes at Nemo's apartment, a food writer.I was able to have an experience that was difficult to do. Nemo has two amiable cats, and his cat-loving wife It seemed like a happy experience.

Great time, delicious food! - We had an incredible experience with Nimoh’s cooking class! Nimoh is not only exceptionally knowledgeable about the dishes she teaches, but she also creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Her clear instructions, passion for cooking, and delightful personality made the class both educational and a lot of fun. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced cook, you’ll leave with new skills, delicious recipes, and wonderful memories. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! - Nimoh is absolutely amazing! She showed us so much of Kenyan life here in Nairobi. The market was super cool to see all of the produce and meats available. She took her time to explain what to look for to get the best taste and explained the many street food options available. The local bus was a wild ride and certainly is the definition of organized chaos! Don’t miss this opportunity! The meal itself was delicious and super fun to make. I have no culinary skills and she made it fun! This is an amazing experience that is a must do!

A super fun experience! - What a fun activity in Nairobi!! We received great information in advance about where we would meet. First we visited a local market where Nimoh explained us a lot about the various products, then we took a ride with a matatu (in our case a “ disco bus”), finally we went to Nimoh’s apartment. She taught us all about the Kenyan cuisine after which we were allowed to work on our own The delicious meal we ate together Thank you Nimoh for your explanation, your conviviality and your hospitality! Highly recommended to follow this cooking workshop!

Authentic Kenyan cooking experience, with market tour and Matatu ride - Thank you Nimoh for an unforgettable first day in Nairobi!! We started at the local produce market in Kangemi, walking through narrow alleys and interacting with the vendors. Then an adventurous ride on a Matatu with the music blasting! (special Nairobi bus). Nimoh catered to our dietary restrictions excellently, teaching us some traditional recipes with plenty of laughter and stories. The food was delicious! Thank you Nimoh!

Great host and an amazing cook! - Nimoh was a great host! She guided us through the market and explained the different foods/spices as well as tips for picking the right produce. The matatu was an adventure for sure! It being our first day in Nairobi, we truly got to experience the local life and culture. The food was absolutely delicious and we loved the cozy and intimate feel at her place. She even sent us the recipes afterward and gave us some tips on where to eat and shop for the remainder of our visit. It was a great way to kick off our Nairobi adventure!
