Masai Mara National Reserve - Guests will be picked up from their Nairobi hotel or the airport and will depart for Maasai Mara at 7:00 am. The journey will take approximately 5 hours, with a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint and Narok. Arrival at the camp or lodge is expected in the afternoon, just in time for check-in and lunch. At 4:00 pm, guests will embark on their first exciting game drive in the Masai Mara game reserve, one of East Africa’s premier safari destinations. They will return to the camp or lodge in the evening, just in time for dinner, followed by an opportunity to enjoy a bonfire while listening to fascinating Maasai stories. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp or lodge.
Full Day Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve - An early morning game drive will be followed by breakfast at the camp or lodge. After breakfast, guests will set out on a full-day game drive with packed lunch boxes. These full-day game drives are designed to seek out Africa’s Big Five and the abundant wildlife that inhabits this expansive Kenyan game reserve. Visitors to the vast Masai Mara will encounter a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, and wildebeests. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also present in large numbers. Lions are often seen basking after a hearty meal or surveying the plains for their next prey. While cheetahs and leopards are more elusive, they are still relatively common. Upon returning to the camp or lodge in the evening, guests can enjoy concerts, performances, and contests during dinner. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay will be at the camp or lodge.
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru National Park - After breakfast, guests will check out from the lodge and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park at 6:30 am. The drive from Maasai Mara takes approximately 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, guests will check in at the lodge. The adventure begins around the lake, where guests can spot flamingos, white pelicans, ibis, plovers, storks, herons, and many other bird species. Game driving continues until lunchtime, where guests can enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the stunning views from the Makalia waterfalls camping site. The afternoon game drive in the park offers sightings of numerous animals, including lions, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, black and white rhinos, waterbucks, reedbucks, leopards, and baboons. Later in the evening, guests will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
