Fantastic guide and awesome landscape with their animals - I wouldn't have imagined a safari tour without our guide Dickson. He was showing us the best of Masai Mara. No words to describe the magnificent landscape and animals. You must go to see it. It's the most beautiful experience that I had in my live. Thanks to Martha (Canken Tours) and Dickson for everything.

I enjoyed it immensely! - When we met the driver, he said: my name is Solomon. I thought: what a name, like a king. And I was not mistaken. Solomon gave us a royal welcome, told us about the national park and the animals living in it. He is also a very good driver, in 3 days in the park we managed to visit the most inaccessible places and see almost all the animals. Thank you, Solomon, for this 3 days, thank you, Lenchada!!

Trip of a lifetime - We did a three night safari, however most people on the tours were only doing two. They missed out!! We got two and a half days of safari and we saw absolutely loads, something different every single day. We absolutely loved it! Our drivers were Moses and Raymond, both were excellent! The accommodation was great, budget friendly, nice hosts, hot water! We thought we would be in one of their tents which looked very good in person, bathroom attached to each but we ended up getting a cottage which we were thrilled about. For our budget this package turned out to be brilliant. Would definitely recommend the Masai Mara, it is an oasis for animals, you can see them straight away once you enter the gates! And we added on a tour of the Masai Mara Village which also was very worthwhile and informative!! Best holiday we’ve been on, will be hard to beat!!

Amazing Safari Experience at Masai Mara and spotting Big 9 - Amazing well planned tour..took care of everything.Special thanks to our tour guide cum safari driver - Evans. Humble, polite and down to earth person. Took care of all needs (even arranged medicine when i twisted my ankle). Because of him, we were able to see Big 9 in Masai Mara

Fantastic safari! - We went on our first ever safari with Lenchada Safaris and we are so glad we did. We had an absolutely brilliant time. Everything went smoothly. They picked us up from the airport and after a brief stop at their office we were driven straight to Masai Mara. Our guide Jack was great. He was professional, kind and very knowledgeable. He told us lots of information about the animals, the park and Kenya in general. We could tell he cared a lot about the animals and we could sense his excitement when we managed to see a rhino, a rare sight in Masai Mara. He was also an excellent driver, we always felt safe while being on an adventure. He went out of his way to find and show us as many animals as he could. The camp was nice with good food and the tents comfortable. We would highly recommend the company and would definitely book with them again!

sooo beautiful - It was wonderful. The Mitsi Camp is very simple and worn out. All other hotels and camps were good. But our 1st driver (cults, a Masai) was very good. He just knew everything, every place of the animals and information about their behavior, etc. THANK YOU !!!

BUDGET SAFARI LECHANDA - LECHANDA booked via AXIS SAFARIS koinage street THE SAFARI SHOULD BE RENAMED TO THE BIG 3 NOT 5! No rhinos, leopards & cheetahs Location - tents don’t expect much from a budget tent . Limited hot showers that have to be manually adjusted & controlled only in the evenings only if you ask a worker. Tents can be cold at night so ask for extra blankets!! The main lights inside the tents are very dim so carry a torch. Don’t expect a temporary coat rack or a rack of any kind to hang clothes. Area is not fenced but I think there were Masai acting as security. We guessed this on the last day when they suddenly emerged to help load our suitcases in the safari car ( perhaps expecting a tip..,,) Food & hot drinks - very average, food area is dimly lit. You have to pay for soft drinks which are not included in the meal plan . Coffee is instant so if you’re a coffee lover carry your own coffee brand. You’re also not told exactly what times are meal times…… Packed lunch during the last day of the trip consisted of 1 dry fried chicken, 1 dry muffin , yoghurts but no spoons ( I’m guessing you’re supposed to drink them …) Safari- lots of zebras , giraffes, elephants, wilder beasts . They oversold the lions , lionesses because what the website fails to mention is that the few that are there are protected in a private area. Safari drivers are obliged to give a small fee for entry, which is done grudgingly. Don’t expect to see leopards, rhinos or cheetahs. I think they can only be found in other locations such as Tanzania …. Be prepared to sit down for a very long drive without actually seeing animals so the driver can burn time. I think it’s to mask the fact that they’re not really many animals as they claim. Crowd size - unfortunately we had 2 couples in the car who were not keen to patiently wait to capture pictures of wild animals so that’s the down side of not booking a private trip! Driver - he was called John, he was pleasant to begin with but as the journey progressed he became irritable , refused to provide us with an itenarary of the day ( his excuse was he would tell us what the plans were as the days went by ). After the trip we were supposed to be dropped off but John left us with a taxi driver who was already double booked with other clients so we ended up having to make our own way before we reached home. Our experiences as black British tourists contrasted very differently from our Europeans counterparts. Reading their positive comments accompanied with nicer pictures and how their happy drivers took the time to take them to specific locations with lions, lioness was quite impressive. This trip taught me a lot about Kenyans, their attitudes to money , customer service and unwillingness to help unless money is involved. My advice to any tourist is be prepared to use Mpesa which Kenyans rely on to book trips or train trips. Without mpesa it’s a nightmare trying to book anything. Also take the time to do plenty of research about when the animals are more active and likely to be seen don’t take the word of these companies because they only care about money
