Nairobi/Sirimon/Judmier Camp (Old Moses Camp) 3-4 hrs, 9km, 860m ascent
Nairobi - Depart Nairobi at 8 am heading to Nanyuki town for lunch, which takes approximately 4 hours. Continue to Sirimon Gate, a 1-hour journey, at an altitude of 2440m. From the gate, follow the path as it ascends through the forest, transitioning to heathland after about 3 hours. Approximately 3½ hours from the gate, the path turns right towards Judmier Camp.
Judmier Camp/Shipton Camp 6-7hrs, 14km, 900m ascent
Sirimon Route - After breakfast, continue uphill, taking the left fork at the junction. One hour from Old Moses Camp, the path crosses Ontulili River. Proceed right, contouring through the Moorland, crossing Liki North, and continue uphill to Mackinders Valley, offering stunning views up the valley towards the main peaks. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Shipton Camp.

Follow this classic path up Mount Kenya through the famously challenging vertical bog and into the expansive Teleki Valley, located beneath the Tryndall and The Lewis Glacier. Although the summit can be reached in four days according to the itinerary below, it is highly recommended to spend an extra night acclimatizing at the base, Naromoru River Lodge.
