For those needing a break, there are benches and shaded areas to relax, along with conveniently located water fountains. Safety is ensured with electric fencing, moats, and chain link fences, discreetly placed to provide both excellent views and security, keeping the animals in their designated areas.
• Nairobi Education Centre - Animal Orphanage - The following stop is the Nairobi Animal Orphanage, which primarily serves as a sanctuary for orphaned, injured, and abandoned wild animals from across the country. The facility houses both native and exotic wildlife in environmentally enriched enclosures, depending on the rescued animals. Visitors may encounter lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, warthogs, buffalo, various ape species, guinea fowls, crested cranes, among others.
• Bomas of Kenya - After an optional lunch at personal expense, the journey continues to Bomas of Kenya. Located in Langata, near the main entrance to Nairobi National Park, Bomas of Kenya is a cultural center where talented resident artists perform traditional dances and songs from the country’s diverse tribal groups. This includes Arab-influenced Swahili Taarab music, Kalenjin warrior dances, Embu drumming, and Kikuyu circumcision ceremonies. Although it caters to tourists, it remains a spectacular afternoon experience and is a must-visit for all guests. The tour concludes with a return to your Nairobi hotel.
