5 Star Experience - Excellent Tour Guide - Douglas was our tour guide. He was polite, punctual, and very kind (especially to our kids). Douglas took us first to the Nairobi National Park where he expertly navigated through the wildlife, giving us excellent sightseeing and photo opportunities. He also gave us a lot of information on each animal, answering all of the questions we had - he is very knowledgeable on the subject. After the safari ride, we went to the Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary. We arrived on time and he gave us good tips on watching the baby elephant feeding. Our kids were getting quite tired by then, so we left a little early and Douglas took us to a location where Kenyan beads are made - they are beautiful and there are many options. Finally, we stopped for lunch (Douglas took us to a place that had great food, clean bathrooms and a huge gift shop). I recommend the chicken curry, it was spectacular. After lunch, we visited the Giraffe Center where we fed baby giraffes up close. Douglas was patient, knowledgeable and kind the entire trip - we would definitely book with him again if we come back to Kenya.

A very good trip. Worth the money - Outstanding views of many animals. Driver aggressively pursued the best few spots. Driver was friendly and very helpful. National Park was probably the highlight. Giraffe Center was interesting but not really exciting. The elephant Center was very well done. The animals were very well presented to us and the information was very complete. Enjoyed The proximity to Nairobi is amazing. There is very little drive time and a lot of site time.

Best value for best tour! - This is THE BEST value and THE BEST day trip. It is a NON-STOP, jam -packed day. Walton, our guide and driver was wonderful. An early start meant that we were among the first in the National Park and saw giraffes silhouetted against the sunrise , and sleepy rhinos that wouldn't get off the roadway! In our pop-top four-wheeled vehicle we careened over dirt roads and saw a great number of animals. Walton was a font of knowledge, and keen on making sure that we'd seen everything. His timing was impeccable and we were right on time for the baby elephant lunch. Then off to the giraffe center where he took pictures of us feeding the giraffes. Visits to a lovely bead/ jewelry center (the sales support Masai women and children) and Isak Dinesen's estate rounded out the fabulous day (with a tsop in a nice resturant for lunch) . TIPS: Important to know that the National Park (credit card ), the Sheldrik Elephant Sanctuary (cash only!) and Giraffe Centre (credit card ) all require an additional entrance fee. Musts: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water!

Oh, good. - It's close to the city, and thanks in part to Watson's guide, you can see a pretty good variety of animals. And the minivan type was pretty good enough, and maybe the forehand all-drive type is even better. Please note that plastic products are prohibited

Worth spending the day - The tour is worth taking if you have a spare day in Nairobi. Other than spending the day in the city, you will be taken to a very close park with some animals. For me, seeing the rinos was worth paying the visit, but bear in mind that it is Nairobi, not the large nats parks of the West. The driver/guide was very friendly.

Mediocre Day Tour - Unfortunately I'm unable to leave a stellar review. I truly do not know what I paid $80 (1 person) for, seeing as each location had a separate entrance fee and the guide didn't really do anything to add to the experience other than transport - which I could have booked on my own for much less. Communication pre-tour was quite poor & I had to reach out to ask specific questions multiple times regarding pick-up time & payment options at each stop of the tour...being told that paying with credit card would be fine. Yet visiting the Elephant sanctuary the driver was scolded by the employee for knowing better that we had to pay in cash. I've done a handful of game drives throughout Africa and this was by far the worst in terms of lack of animal sightings, the lack of organization of trucks when they get around an animal, and lack of information shared by the guide. Game drives are always a crap shoot, but this one was just not great. The Giraffe Center experience was fine but is brief - only about 20min and was busy & unorganized. The lunch stop (self pay) offered a very basic "buffet" style for 1300KES or a menu option, but we were told it could take up to 1 hour for food if we ordered. Our tour group all decided to just get soda and skip food since we wanted to just go home. The final stop at the bead factory was nice - it was great to see the detailed work the women do to make the different jewelry & products. I do a LOT of these guided day tours as a full-time solo traveler and this is the first one to truly disappoint me in a long time. It was a long, expensive, and lackluster day...

Doesn't have many animals - The park as such is very large, the bad thing is that it does not have many animals it is difficult to find them, the lion and the lionesses are very malnourished 😪
