Masai Ostrich Park is a popular tourist destination where jockeys train for ostrich racing. Ostrich races are held at the farm on Sundays and occasionally at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi. A guided tour of the ostrich farm provides an opportunity to learn about ostrich rearing from egg to adulthood. Ostriches are typically slaughtered at 8 months for optimal quality and taste.
