Do you self a favor and book this! - What an amazing experience! If you are even thinking about booking, please book this one! It’s for a good cause, guide is polite, so informative, and was so great teaching my family about the area. Would highly recommend! I have been to Kibera many times, but this was the best and perfect guide especially having my family with me.

Mandatory experience - Rally took his time taking us through Kibera and teaching us about the community. I was grateful that he was willing to share about his life there and how he now gives back to his community with his various efforts such as the school he built as well as the various families and businesses he supports through the earnings from this tour. I highly recommend everyone to consider this tour. It is not only informative and eye opening, but you will have the chance to give back if you feel compelled to do so.

The Kibera tour is an... - The Kibera tour is an eye-opening and deeply meaningful experience. Despite being known as the largest slum, it is a place full of life, warmth, and incredibly kind people. Our guide, who was raised in Kibera, was highly knowledgeable and shared valuable insights into daily life and the challenges faced by the community. Additionally, the entry fee goes toward developing and supporting a school for underprivileged children, which makes the experience even more impactful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable, life-changing experience — a must-do in Nairobi - This was without question one of the most powerful and meaningful experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world. From the moment the tour began, I felt completely safe, welcomed, and guided with genuine care and respect.
This experience is humbling in the truest sense — not voyeuristic, not rushed, and never uncomfortable. It’s about connection, understanding, and seeing the strength, resilience, and humanity within the community. The warmth of the people and the joy of the children are things I will carry with me long after leaving Nairobi.
My community guide and leader, Rally, was exceptional. His knowledge, patience, and integrity set the tone for the entire experience. He was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful, always checking in and making sure everything felt right. At the end of the tour, he went far beyond expectations by taking me to one of his own local spots for lunch — an authentic, personal gesture that perfectly reflected the spirit of the day.
If you are visiting Nairobi and want more than a surface-level experience, do this tour. It will challenge your perspective, leave you inspired, and remind you of what truly matters. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

A Meaningful and Eye-Opening Experience in Kibera - This was one of the most meaningful tours my wife and I have ever taken. Rally, our guide, grew up in Kibera and shares his community with honesty, pride, and warmth. We felt completely safe throughout the tour, walking through local markets and narrow paths while meeting residents who greeted us with smiles and went about their daily lives.
The highlight was visiting the school Rally founded for children whose families can’t afford school fees. Seeing the students sing and learn—three classes sharing one room or sometimes in a truck body—was incredibly moving and inspiring. All proceeds from the tour support this school, which makes the experience even more impactful. This tour isn’t about pity; it’s about resilience, perseverance, and supporting a local initiative that’s truly making a difference. Highly recommended.

Outstanding! Safe, authentic, and extremely worthwhile. - Outstanding tour!!! Rally was wonderful. First, we felt extremely safe and had the opportunity to explore a community faced with hardship, as well as resilience, creativity, and caring. The children in the school were beautiful and so full of hope and joy. Rally did an excellent job of respectfully sharing history, and way of life in this region where he himself grew up and was happy to answer all of our questions
My husband chose the tour, and I wasn’t sure if I would come out feeling a bit depressed, but I did not. I saw more smiles and relaxed people than I sometimes see at home. To me, It’s important to see all of a region and learn about the beauty as well as the struggles.
We brought extra small bills to buy some local crafts. I got a wooden spoon for cooking, a beautiful hand blown glass vase, and chopsticks made out of cow bone.
The work Rally and his friends are doing in this area is quite remarkable, and we were honored to be able to be a small part of it. It was the most meaningful experience we had in our few days in Nairobi at the end of our East African tour.
Wear comfortable shoes. Definitely recommend!
