Arrival in Nairobi/Meet & Greet, and Transfer to Masai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve - Upon arriving in Nairobi, the tour guide/driver will warmly welcome the group and transport them to Masai Mara. The journey to Masai Mara is approximately 5 hours.

In Masai Mara, there will be afternoon game drives, offering the chance to see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and other herbivores, especially during the peak season of the Great Wildebeest Migration. The national reserve is renowned for the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceros, and buffalo), so expect to encounter these majestic animals and more during the safari adventure in a vehicle with a pop-up window for panoramic views.

Great Rift Valley - En route to Masai Mara, there will be a stop at the famous Great Rift Valley Escarpment point. Here, visitors can witness the results of ancient volcanic activity that formed the Great Rift Valley. The escarpment offers a panoramic view of the landscapes, settlements, and agricultural lands.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet locals and explore curio shops, where they can find beadwork and other traditional products made from locally sourced materials, providing a glimpse into the Masai culture.

Full Day to Explore Masai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve - A full day is dedicated to exploring Masai Mara. An early morning game drive is available before breakfast, followed by a return to the hotel for breakfast. Afterward, comprehensive game drives can be enjoyed throughout the day, with breaks for lunch and returning to the hotel in the evening for dinner.

There will be ample time to track and observe the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinoceros) and other animals, including migratory wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and other herbivores, especially during the migration peak season (July-October). The safari vehicle offers panoramic views, perfect for capturing photos and videos.

Bird enthusiasts will also have the chance to observe and photograph various bird species.

Overnight stay at a Mara camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve - In the evening, a visit to a Masai village is planned. Traditional Masai dancers will warmly welcome visitors with their cultural dance.

There will be an opportunity to interact with the Masai people and learn about their culture. Visitors can observe evening activities such as milking and livestock care, as the Masai are pastoralists. Additionally, they can see how beadwork is done to create necklaces, bracelets, baskets, and more.

Final Day in Masai Mara and Return to Nairobi

Masai Mara National Reserve - An early morning game drive is an option before breakfast for those interested in observing specific animals and birds. Afterward, breakfast will be served at the hotel. Visitors may also choose to revisit the Masai village to experience the locals’ morning routines before or after checking out of the hotel. Alternatively, they can relax at the hotel, enjoy breakfast, and prepare for the journey back to Nairobi.

Later, the road trip back to Nairobi will commence.

Narok - On the return journey to Nairobi, there will be a stop in Narok, a small town inhabited by the Masai people.

Accompanied by the driver/tour leader, visitors can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, with the option to try the famous ‘Mbuzi choma,’ or roasted goat meat, served with maize meal known as ‘Ugali’ and traditional vegetables or other accompaniments.

After lunch, the journey will continue.
