Along the way, you’ll pass through the historic Luweero Triangle, now a small town with a trading center known for its challenging history during Obote’s regime. Continue to Masindi Hotel for lunch. You’ll travel through Budongo Forest and Kaniyo Pabidi. Upon arrival at the park, head straight to the Top of the Falls, a stunning spot to admire the mighty River Nile and the world’s most powerful water surge. Stay overnight at Sambiya Lodge (budget), Red Chili, or Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury) with full board.

Game Drives - Launch Cruise
Murchison Falls National Park - Embark on an early morning game drive on the Northern Delta Nile. Expect to see lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, Rothschild’s giraffe, oribi, and baboons. Later, enjoy a launch cruise on the Murchison Falls, lasting about two hours. Observe large groups of hippos and crocodiles, along with small herds of buffalo. The papyrus banks are rich in birdlife, including the highly sought-after shoebill stork. Visit the Top of the Falls, a beautiful spot for viewing the falls and the park, as well as for lunch or relaxation. Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest
Kibale Forest National Park - After breakfast, transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park, enjoying spectacular views of the Rift Valley, Lake Albert, the Rwenzori Ranges, and the beautiful Lakes George and Edward, all part of the western Albertine Rift Valley environment. Dinner and overnight stay at Crater Safari Lodge or Primates Lodge.
Kibale to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Depart early and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, with lunch en route at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara. Arrive in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at Gorilla Resort (luxury) or Buhoma Community Bandas (budget) with full board.
Mountain Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Local Communities
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - After an early breakfast, proceed to the park office headquarters with a packed lunch for a briefing before trekking the gorillas in the dense forest. Spend an hour with the gorillas after trekking for about 3-5 hours. If you have energy left, take a brief nature walk to the Batwa community in the evening. Explore curio shops, drinking spots, and a children’s school, among other attractions. Alternatively, try the Munyanja River Trail to see waterfalls and diverse birdlife, or the Muzabajiro/Ruhija trails for forest and grassland bird species and more primates. Return to Gorilla Resort (luxury) or Buhoma Community Bandas (budget) with full board.

This safari adventure of 6 days combines an exploration of the Bwindi Forest for gorilla trekking with a wildlife journey in Murchison Falls National Park. The expedition begins by touring Murchison Falls National Park, which is Uganda’s largest preserved area housing a vast array of plants and animals. The park is home to varied wildlife such as some of the big five namely elephants, buffaloes, and lions, besides giraffes, antelopes, crocodiles, hippos amongst others. The safari then progresses through the Albertine Rift, leading to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest which is a habitat for more than half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world. The journey commences in Kampala and concludes at the Entebbe Airport in Kampala.
