Start your day with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Journey north through Uganda’s scenic countryside to reach Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by experienced rangers who will provide a safety briefing before you embark on the rhino tracking adventure.

Rhino Tracking Experience

Accompanied by a ranger, walk through the sanctuary to find a group of southern white rhinos. Once located, enjoy observing them from a safe distance while gaining insights into the conservation efforts aimed at reintroducing rhinos to Uganda’s national parks.

The rhino tracking experience typically lasts between 1 to 2 hours.

A guided tour with a park ranger to observe the white rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The rhinos live in small, manageable groups within the sanctuary, offering a safe environment for visitors. Adhering to safety guidelines provided by the ranger ensures a lasting impression. This activity involves no strenuous trekking, it’s simply a leisurely stroll with informative narratives from the rangers. It holds the unique distinction of being the only location in Uganda where these magnificent beasts can be viewed in their natural habitat on foot.
