Etosha Pan - Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha (L & D)
Guests will be picked up from their accommodation at 9 am. Heading north, a delightful lunch break will be enjoyed in Otjiwarongo or Outjo. Upon arriving at the park in the afternoon, a drive through the National Park will commence in search of wildlife. With some luck, sightings may include elephants, rhinos, zebras, and various game such as oryx, kudu, wildebeest, impala, springbok, gemsbok, giraffes, hyenas, and the majestic big cats of Africa: lions, leopards, and cheetahs roaming the vast grasslands. Guests will reach their accommodation just before sunset. Dinner will conclude the day’s adventure, and rest will be essential to rise early and refreshed for the next day’s journey.
Sunday - Etosha (B, L & D)
Etosha Pan - Saturday: Etosha NP (B, L & D)
An early start is encouraged to embrace the natural surroundings and fresh air. Following breakfast, the game drive will begin, offering a splendid exploration of the area, including visits to waterholes. The journey will include a visit to the Etosha pan (salt pan) before continuing the game drive across the park in search of the Big 4 and other wildlife species. A light lunch will provide a chance to rest and recharge for the next adventure. After a brief relaxation, the final waterhole visit will offer a last appreciation of Namibia’s beauty. Guests will return to their accommodation before sunset to enjoy dinner and share stories and photos of the day’s experiences.
Monday - Etosha to Swakopmund (B & L)
Swakopmund Museum - Sunday: Etosha to Swakopmund (B & L)
Guests will be collected from their lodge between 07:00 and 08:00 for a long drive of 540 km. The route will pass through Outjo, turning off before Otjiwarango towards Omaruru, where a picnic lunch will be enjoyed. Omaruru, a town with 14,000 residents and 352 square kilometers of land, will be a pleasant stop. The journey will continue via Karibib and Usakos, crossing the Namib Desert to reach Swakopmund. Arrival in Swakopmund is expected mid-afternoon, allowing time to explore this charming seaside town on foot. The guide will gladly recommend a good restaurant for dinner (at guests’ own expense).
Tuesday - Swakopmund to Windhoek (B, L)
Windhoek City Cab - Monday: Swakopmund to Windhoek (B, L)
Prepare for a scenic journey back to Windhoek, passing through towns and rural areas. A stop will be made in Okahandja, home to Namibia’s largest wood carving market, where stalls operate on a local cooperative basis, offering a wide range of authentic Namibian souvenirs. The return to Windhoek is scheduled for no later than 16:00 hours, with guests being dropped off at their accommodation.
