A successful day - Thank you for a wonderful, varied day. I had liked the idea equally well, with the motorbike to the waterfall in the mountains. I was all the more disappointed when everything threatened to fall into the water because of a cancelled flight. I'm glad Bazil was flexible enough to get the date postponed. But this simplicity also corresponded to my perception on the day itself that a team works together here, which on the one hand ensures highly professional but also with fun, good mood and personal commitment to make the trip a highlight. Driving up the mountain with inexperienced passengers already demands a lot from the drivers. I can only be amazed. Also nice our conversation on the small hike to the waterfall. Thank you for the many explanations and hints about the fruits and trees along the way and for your stories from your everyday life and about life in the mountains of Moshi. I found it entertaining and educational at the same time, although I probably still don't recognize all the fruits. Even as a photographer you have proven your skills. The pictures of the chameleon have become really great and I don't want to miss the little video of the coffee. I didn't know my phone could do that. I found the waterfall very impressive, perhaps also because it carried a lot of water that day. Guided tours of coffee plantations are not really my case. But that's how you can do it. That was really fun. After the delicious lunch, even I as a vegetarian got my money’s worth, we continued to the hot springs, where a refreshing swim rounded off the day. For me it was also a nice end to my Tanzania trip.

A day full of local culture - We had a fantastic experience walking to the waterfall and spending time on one of the local coffee plantations. The coffee tastes out of this world. We were also treated to a lunch which was sensational. Our driver Willy was amazing, so good we have requested him for another tour before we leave

Our favorite experience in Moshi – amazing guide & beautiful day - We absolutely loved this tour and can highly recommend it! Our guide Jerry truly made the experience special. He was incredibly kind, funny, and attentive, and took great care of all our wishes. What really stood out was how engaging he was — without us even asking, he shared so much about nature, local life, and the culture. His English was excellent and very easy to understand, and his positive, uplifting energy made the whole day even better. If you can, definitely ask for Jerry! The hike to Materuni Waterfall was beautiful, even for someone like me who isn’t usually that into waterfalls. Walking through the village and nature was a highlight — we saw local life up close, beautiful handmade art along the way, and even spotted two chameleons. The coffee experience was so much fun: singing, learning how coffee is made from scratch, roasting it ourselves, and of course drinking delicious coffee at the end. We also loved that the crafts and art for sale are made by local artists — it felt great to support the community. Another really nice touch: the team took photos and videos of us without us even asking. We ended up with amazing memories and content from the day, which we really appreciated. Lunch was delicious, and as a vegan, I was very happy with the variety of options — definitely recommended for vegan travelers. We also chose to go to Chemka Hot Springs afterward (extra entrance fee), which was totally worth it. It’s stunning and a lot of fun, and although the drive is a bit long, seeing the countryside along the way was part of the experience. Overall, this was our favorite thing we’ve done in Moshi so far — fantastic guide, great organization, and a very authentic, joyful day. Highly recommended!

Perfect - I recently joined an extraordinary tour combining waterfalls, spring waters , and a coffee-making experience— and it exceeded all expectations! The waterfall visit was breathtaking: the powerful cascades and lush surroundings created a truly magical atmosphere. Our guide shared fascinating facts about the local ecosystem. Next, the spring waters offered perfect relaxation in a beautiful place. The coffee‑making segment was a delightful finale. I learned about local coffee traditions, from beans election to brewing techniques, and even tried ourhand at preparing authentic brews. The tasting a real treat! Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and ensured smooth transitions between activities. This-well‑organized tour offered a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and cultural insight. Highly recommended!

A Perfect Day of Nature, Culture & Relaxation - The Materuni Waterfall Hike, Coffee Making & Hot Springs day trip was a perfect blend of nature, culture, and relaxation. The waterfall hike was scenic and refreshing, the traditional coffee-making experience was insightful and fun, and the hot springs were a great way to unwind. A special thanks to my guide, Willi, who was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about sharing local culture and stories. His guidance made the entire day smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing Kilimanjaro-area experience.

Beautiful tour! Well organized and full day experience - Great price to experience three of the most popular things to do in Kilimanjaro area. Our guida Lumpa and driver were great! Supervised us, watched our things while we swam, answered any questions we had and took great pictures for us. Be prepared that the day involved a lot of driving on some not so well maintained roads. The coffee tour is at the waterfall where they sell souvenirs (quoted 15USD for coffee bags, 60k TSZ for painting and postcard). The meal they served was by far the best local food we’ve had so far with some beans, rice, ugali, hot sauce, beef stew, and red rice. There’s an opportunity to buy their banana alcohol and beer at the tour (quoted 10k TSZ). Our lovely guide even bought us some sugar cane to snack on! Overall, a wonderful experience and well organized full day tour!!

Amazing - “I booked a last-minute tour to Materuni Waterfall, the Coffee Tour, and the Chemka Hot Springs. Our local guide, Lumpa (@real_tourguide), was punctual and did an excellent job guiding us and even helping with photos. The tour itself was outstanding. The waterfall was breathtaking, and the coffee tour had such a strong sense of community — it truly felt like coming back home. Lunch was a delicious spread of green bananas and local vegetables prepared in different ways. We ended the day at the hot springs, which was a unique and refreshing experience. Thank you, Lumpa, for showing my friend Joan and me such an authentic side of Materuni.”
